Here is the NFL.com version of the story:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000127032/article/denver-broncos-part-ways-with-dbs-coach-ron-milus

"The Post reported the decision to move on from Milus was in the works well before Saturday's events. Milus had clashed with Broncos defensive backs over the past two seasons, according to The Post."

Players clashing with coaches....say it isn't so. Define clash first. I'm not saying the Milus should have been retained, but I suspect this had way more to do with Del Rio wanting his guy than the clashes....whatever they were.

He has been a problem for two years, but they are only firing him now?

Yeah, OK....

From what I read, they didn't fire him. His contract was up and the Broncos chose not to resign him. Undlin was also already on staff to begin with as a quality control defensive assistant.

Zombies - we are not firing you, but please don't show up for work ever again.

Sound good?

Well, from the Broncos perspective, they don't have to pay the rest of this contract.

And I have no problem with him not being back.

Yeah, I don't mind either.

The new guy is going to have to deal with a gallactically stupid safety. I hope he starts with "this is a football" and goes from there. Football 101.
