I bet Orton hit him in the eye with a laser rocket pass.

He is distraught at being a training camp superstar for two seasons in a row only to fade in game action.

Alphonso will be the starting nickel and Jack might be out the door.

I agree with this. Denver fans have a tendency to hype up and overrate young CBs (Darrent Williams, Karl Paymuh). Seems like J"MF"W is the next on that list. I wasn't impressed with him last season and never even noticed him in the 49ers game. At BEST he'll be the dime back.

Williams isn't going to be out the door, but he was never expected to be more than a back-up corner with Bailey here, Goodman being brought in and the drafting of Alphonso. Besides the INT return for a touchdown in the pre-season last year, there wasn't much hype about him at all. The nickname thing was a joke started on another forum. Williams is going to be on the team, unless someone like Johnson or Carter can unseat him. He's a dime guy and is good depth at corner. He isn't a starter and probably never will be. Not a big deal. The team needs quality special teams players and role players too. Jack is one of those guys.

Apparently there is an injury of some kind. A DP tweet:

@denverbroncos Vets resting this evening: D Graham, C Wiegmann, DJ Williams. Rehabbing/injured players out: Marshall, Moreno, Lloyd, J. Williams

Hopefully it's nothing too serious, but it'll give Johnson a shot to maybe get some dime experience in this year. Maybe Tony Carter. Not too big on Moulton or Bell.

He flat out sucked in the sf game. Flat out missing tackles, he looked lost. Now I know how he earned the nickname, because that is what you yell when you see him whiff.

Yeah he sucked and has a lame rat tail typed thing.

I'd choose him over twitter.

however if he is seriously hurt then I do feel bad for him.

OK I am the stone knife's and bear skins of this group, remember when I was a teenager is when pong came out. Reading all the tweets or whatever they are it sounds like he is talking about reading the Bible and maybe even being in a small Bible group. I'm not sure about this tweet things it feels like I'm invading his personal space. Anyway that's what I got from the messages.

From the camp report:

Cornerback Jack Williams left the morning practice with an unspecified injury and did not practice in the evening. . . .

So...um, apparently not good.

I never wanna see a guy get hurt. But I hope that Tony Carter can now make the team.
