That sucks. I remember him grabbing Elway right after Mobely knocked down the final pass in SBXXII

Nobody goes and digs for news anymore. They just wait for the press releases and re-write them. I wish it would at least say if it were natural causes or not.

That sucks. I remember when he went to Carolina as i thought he might be able to succeed there. But yea, 39 is WAY too young.

I also wonder what happened, but I feel selfish for doing so. The school didn't release the cause of death, and I'm sure the family is busy. We'll find out soon enough.

Wow I'm shocked, I remember when he was drafted and thinking he was a great pickup for the Broncos. Then feeling bad for him when he blew out his ACL while playing basketball, which led to the drafting of Griese and his eventual trade.

RIP Jeff.

RIP Jeff.

Since this only happened yesterday, and with Jeff being so young, and with no obvious cause, the cause will need to be determined by what is found from the autopsy, so understandable as to why no one knows yet what caused it.

They don't know yet. No one does. It's like Carol said they probably won't know till his autopsy. It's just really sad and he was way too young.

My prayers go out to his family and friends.

Iirc Shanatan really liked him, had he not tore his knee playing pickup basketball the chances are good he woulda taken over for Elway. He sure had a lot more ability than Griese.......

Sounds like Denver really needs a no basketball rule. Along with popping your toes and walking your dog.

I never knew that about Lewis.

Coulda been just more Shanatan hype, like Griese = Montana and Jarvis Moss = Charles Haley, but that's how I remember it.......
