Today's question about the Broncos comes from Charles D. in Durango:
Q: Do you think the Broncos have tried to run the ball more lately because they've had big leads or they're trying to get ready for the playoffs? It just seems like they're really trying to get things going a little bit in the past few games.
A: Charles, the answer is likely all of the above, but there is no question the Broncos have tried to crank things up a bit in December as they point toward the postseason.
They have run the ball at least 32 times in each of their last three games, including a season-high 45 carries against the Ravens in Baltimore. They have rushed for 3.6, 3.6 and 3.7 yards per carry in those games, so they have continued to pound the ball even when the results may not be all that spectacular.
