View Full Version : Anyone feeling greedy tonight?

When the season 1st started, most of us were just hoping the Broncos could follow up last year’s play-offs appearance with another. Of course there were a few super homers who believed we would win the SB, but those same individuals make the same preseason prediction every year no matter what kind of a team we field. 3 months later, here we are talking about getting in the driver's seat for the 2nd seed of the play-offs. Anyone one here being greedy; and thinking about that 1st seed?

If the Texans win, not only will it put us in the driver's seat for the 2nd seed, but it would also put them 1 game away from clinching the 1st seed. For us to get that 1st seed, the Texans would have to lose their last 3 games, while we'd have to win our last 3. 1 more win by them, or 1 more loss by us, and the Texans are the 1st seed. However, if the Patriots win, then the Texans would only have to lose 2 of their last 3 games while we win all of our last 3. There is also the scenario of us losing 1 of our last 3 which would then require the Texans to lose their last 3, which would be a total losing streak of 4 games for them. Then there would still be the problem of us still needing someone to take down the Patriots for us.

So what do I want? A million dollars & the Broncos winning another SB. The scenario for us getting the 1st seed is so extremely implausible that I'm more than happy for us to get the 2nd seed that I wasn't even considering us getting before the season started. Beside, Kubiak was our OC when we won the 2 SBs in the late 90's. I've enjoyed watching him succeed in his 1st HC gig. I also enjoy watching the Patriots lose. So...,

GO TEXANS!

I think I heard rain is in the forecast. That should favor Houston with their run game hopefully.

I hope the Texans win. Then I hope they lose the rest of their games and we get the 1st seed.

Is it greedy to hope for a hard fought, entertaining football game with a slew of knee sprains and separated shoulders? Nothing too serious of course, but enough bumps and bruises to soften both these teams up a bit.

Even if it had nothing to do with the Broncos, I still have a soft spot for Kubiak and HATE Belicheat and McDouchebag. It actually does matter to us tonight so I have 3x the reason to root for the Texans.

Go Kubes! Go Texans!

I think it looks like a good night for Ridley.

Foster already had 2 runs over 10 yards....1 was taken away.

Texans are already playing sloppy.

Well the Texans didn't come to play.

Lots of time left. Houston just took a couple opening blows.

I wish I could be the offensive coordinator for a team with a hall of fame QB, two pro bowl TEs, two pro bowl WRs, and some very good RBs.

The Texans need to make some serious HT adjustments; I just hope they’re not down by 5 TDs when HT gets here.

I know you have Arian Foster, but they are having success passing and not running. Why keep running?

Pull your head out of your ass Kubiack. Every 2nd and long has been a run play. ******* stupid.

Patriots winning isn't a bad thing. If the Patsies drop a game or Houston drops two and we win out we get a bye. I wonder if the Texans decided to hold back since they could play the Patsies in the playoffs and didn't want to show all their cards. I remember the Giants did that in 2007 against the Patsies and it worked pretty well. The Jets also got blown out in the regular season and went on to end the Patsies playoff run a couple years ago.
