I didn't see him leave, but I saw that he was injured. Anyone know anything about it? I must have missed that. I hope he's back for Baltimore.

Vic Lombardi tweeted he was on crutches in the locker room after the game. Hopefully it's nothing serious and just precautionary. Haven't seen anything else.

Yeah. That's where I saw it. Hope we don't lose our best LB for too long. (MO;))

As ashamed as I am to say it because of all the bad shit I've said about him, I'm glad we have DJ because of circumstances like this.

Crap they took someone to the parking lot in the cart and come to think of it I never saw Woodyard after the game.....dang it.

I am so glad we have DJ. He really has been playing hard. Plus I was shocked just how much Brooking is moving all over the place. The man is calling the plays and has a real nose for the ball. Also saw some really good things from Trevathan today.

I just hope Wesley is OK.

I read something about an ankle injury. He's been a BIG force on the defense, so hopefully he heals up quicly.

We've got a short week so there is no way he's going to be able to go out on Thursday night and play but hopefully with the extended week afterwards he can be ready in time for Baltimore. DJ will have no problem manning WLB against Oakland and probably does need to start a whole game so he be fully up to speed for our Super Bowl run.

Pretty sure Von Miller is our best LB's.

I don't think it matters who plays. Del Rio has this thing systematic. One guy goes down, another comes in and makes plays.

Nice to have actual coaching going on in Denver's defense for once.

Two weeks to heal, as long as it's not broken. He can rest for the Raiturds.

Strangely, in the post game quotes I received, it didn't include Fox going over injuries, which is usually the first thing he does.

Don't be shocked if for a game or so throughout the rest of the year, we rest anyone that might hvae an injury that could REALLY benefit from sitting.

I think tomorrow is the day Woodyard is on the MHS Pressbox every week. I'm sure they will ask him about the injury. If anyone can tune in (7-9am MST I believe), let us know what he says.

Fox's presser today is at 1:00 MST, so we will probably get an update then.

So you're saying he's claimed the position of a dancing football player

Ok, I think I just threw up a little in my mouth. Not sure if it was from my Bloody Mary hangover or your post. I'm leaning toward the latter...

If you've a hangover from Bloody Marys, you need to invest in a better quality vodka. Just saying.

I think you mean corner. Our best player should always play corner, or else you can't have a good defense!! ;)

As for Woodyard, one positive is we didn't really skip a beat after he went down. DJ, Brookings and Trevathan all filled the void. I wouldn't go anywhere near as far as to say LBs are the strength of this defense (with the exception of Von obviously) but it's good to see we can still play at a high level without DJ or WWIII on the field.

Dapper Dan
12-03-2012, 04:31 PM
Von looked like a safety on that pick. If we start him at safety we could move him all over the field. You have to put your best player at safety. It's the most important position. And no, Von doesn't play linebacker, linebackers don't wear those goofy looking glasses.

Has anyone heard any thing yet as to the extent of Woodyard's injury?

Dapper Dan
12-03-2012, 09:31 PM
In the Denver Broncos' 31-23 victory over Tampa Bay, linebacker Wesley Woodyard had to leave with a injury to his right ankle. With Denver playing on Thursday night against the Oakland Raiders, it will be a challenge for Woodyard to play, although he's currently listed as day-to-day.

Fox said in his presser today that Woodyard did not participate today in practice and basically because it's a short week (the equivalent to Wednesday on a normal week) that Woodyard won't play Thursday. He also said Stokely was limited in practice. Hopefully Stokely and Woodyard come back soon. We're gonna need them for Baltimore.

Agreed on Trevathan. He's made at least a play or two just about every week. Good showing so far for the rookie.

I agree but if this was a must win things might be different if he is healthy enough to play.

For what it's worth, it was an imaginary practice, but they had to release an injury report, since game day is only three days away.

If he is able to go on Thursday, I would prefer it would be on "only if needed" basis. The long rest would do him good.

woodyard injured, but he confirmed the injury is not dance related.
when asked if he would be ready to play thursday he responded,
"not sure about the game, but i know i will be ready to dance"
like gronk, cant play the game but i can certainly do a consolation dance afetr my team loses the superbowl.
