"I didn't want to seem like a person to try to call someone or do anything outside of saying, you're going to get paid but it's going to be slow,” Johnson said. “I apologize that everyone is in this position."

Johnson says he didn't have a backup plan for a failing restaurant. Without needed financial investors, it’s going to take time before his employees get those last checks.

"I’m in a situation now that is really unfortunate. Even if I could pawn a Super Bowl ring, I plan on paying the employees,” Johnson said.

playing football aint shit compared to running a successful restaurant !
every day is gameday !
you never know who your opponent is going to be(customers)

you deal in perishable products
and just like football, one member of the team screws up and you have a failed dining experience.
celebrity might get your doors open and fill the seats for a month or two, but if you cant cook, serve, shedule, organize and treat your guests like they are the most important people on the face of the earth, they wont be back !
a lot of very successful people have FAiled at the restaurant buisness, welcome to the club vance.

I used to always run into Vance Johnson when I worked at the Dog Track in Commerce City back in the late 90's. Dude was nice, but I don't trust anyone who spends that much time gambling. I wouldn't be surprised to know he sold his rings long ago.

a restaurant is a gamble! but actual gamblers as restaurant owners is a recipe for disaster.

A family friend has run a restaurant for the last 20 years. He looks about 30 years older than he should be. That is one of the hardest jobs around.

I met him once many, many years ago. Super nice dude.

Him, Ricky Nattiel, and Mark Jackson need to open a Mexican food joint called 3 Amigos near the stadium. I'd go there all the time.

Well, maybe Vance needs to stay out of the food business.

Does anyone know if Simon Fletcher still has his hotdog joint?

so why is a former bronco failing at a buisness venture worthy of the bronco thread, but a former bronco, far more current and in the news and a thread vital to the very game of football not worthy of the bronco thread?
could it be the POSTER?
are the mods pre-disposed in their attidudes and act with PASSION instead of practicality?
just wondering?

restauranteur fails.
former bronco involved in lynchpin fine and ruling.

yes lets keep the restaurant story on the front page and bury the critical football story on the back pages.
thats just brilliant,
and in no way a reflection of the mods pre-determined attitude about the POSTER and NOT the subject matter.

yes, I am calling out the mod that moved the IMPORTANT football thread !
and I am questioning their motivation in doing so !

and yes I am doing it publicly because the actions of our mods should be transparent !
just like their biased motivations !
