Good news for the Broncos. An MRI exam today on the left shoulder of defensive end Elvis Dumervil revealed no significant injury.

Sounds a lot more promising than some of the early reports!

From the article:

Dumervil will likely be listed as questionable for the game this Sunday against the San Diego Chargers but it appears he avoided long-term injury.

That's very good news. We don't get as many holding penalties called against opposing offensive lines without him. He seems to be good for 10 yards in holding penalties a game.

I heard yesterday that Dumervil said it felt like he had strained it and not popped it.

Man, finally some news about him. Great info, I was really concerned, doesn't sound too bad....

This is GREAT news. Ayers stepped it up yesterday and I'm comfortable with Ayers for this week if need be, but I'd be happier with Doom back in there ASAP.

We dodged a bullet. The only thing is, is Ayers came in and did just as well. I think Del Rio knows how to use guys to the best of their abilities and whatever we are doing I just hope we don't tamper with it because our D is on a terror!

I would like to knows what rank our Offense and Defense is at after this week. Seems like we are doing good on both sides of the ball.

Passing and scoring offense are #2 in the league, defense is #10. Defense is near the top on a yards-per-play basis.

edit: #2 in average yards per offensive play, #1 in defensive yards per play.

Man I was worried yesterday. Seeing Doom on the sidelines without his pads I figured he had a separated shoulder, then Peyton screws up the slide and grabs his knee (my heart is in my throat), the D. Thomas looks like he hurts his knee. Damn, we were lucky yesterday.

Whew is right
Yes, dang good to see Ayers playing well.
Plus good to have DJ back this week. He should help a good defense to be even better

Two weeks of scares with Thomas. Hope we can get through a week without that.
