Usually I show up early to tailgate and eat at Denny's across from the stadium but this year I wanted to eat somewhere that wasn't a chain and was awesome. Any pointers?

I hear a place called the piper has spectacular wings if you get there on a Saturday night around 7.

Yeah, but their beer selection sucks if you're a beer snob like myself. :)

Sounds like the tilted kilt. The beer selection sucks, but it has some nice wings, not to mention great breasts and thighs ;)

I tried going there for breakfast one day when I was there for a week between the week 17 game and Pitt playoff game, and there was a very long wait to get in. I didn't bother.

I was also told that there was a real good place for breakfast in Larimer Square, but I can't remember the name.

SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE looking for breakfast?
if so yardhouse aint the place! it is a great place for a top notch beer selection and their pacific rim menu items are also top tier !
breakfast in Lo-DO would be your best option, lots of choices.
when I lived in denver the chicago pizza co. on market served breakfast on sunday as well as the irish bar next to it and both were damn good.
not sure about either place now, its been a decade since I lived in denver.

I do know the zaides deli in cherry creek and breakfast there is the bomb !

Good place but like the rest you have to get there early. My favorite breakfast joints are Denver Diner, Snooze, Pete's Kitchen (probably the best for atmosphere, a whole wall of Broncos player and celebrity photographs that have been there line the place), and Sam's #3. Denver has a great restaurant scene. Another great place that is relatively new is Steuban's on 17th near Pearl. Probably one of the coolest new places I've been too. Great burgers and the deviled egg appetizer is fantastic: http://www.steubens.com/
