Ok gang it's game day. As much as it possible lets all try to enjoy the game and stay positive for our team. Hopefully the defense can hold the Lions offense down to 13 points without the big play and the offense can score in the red zone. Let's go Broncos beat the Lions! :defense::elefant:

Well I've been buggered all week after the Packers game so it's one of three things:

1) To quote Danny Glover ~ I'm too old for this *hurmph*

2) To much Old Peculier

3) Gutted with not just the result, but in the way that we lost it

I don't know who has been picked to replace Moss but I can give the casuality list.

DENVER BRONCOS at DETROIT LIONS — BRONCOS: OUT: DE Jarvis Moss (fibula), WR Javon Walker (knee). QUESTIONABLE: S John Lynch (neck). PROBABLE: CB Champ Bailey (quadricep), DT Antwon Burton (ankle), RB Travis Henry (ribs), G Montrae Holland (shoulder), WR Brandon Stokley (hamstring), LB D.J. Williams (shoulder).

Detriot is better than i thought and looking at this list doesn't make me very positive about the game. I do have the BRONCOS winning but I'll take a 'expect the worst and hope for the best' approach to the game.

No... we can not stop the run....

This years defense is horrible...

We make every team look like world beaters.

The first man never gets the tackle....

it is often the third or fourth guy to finaly, barely trip he runner at the last possible moment afte a large gain.

For those not watching the game, he was ganged sacked by three guys. He must have crumpled on the way to the sideline (that was off camera), they helped him off, and Ramsey came on. He just walked to the cart and is riding to the locker room, with his left leg straight, and they just showed him holding the left knee and flexing it.

Dang, they just showed the replay. The first guy sacked him, grabbing his right leg and twisting, his left leg was up in the air over the tackler, then the other two guys came in, the first guy made contact with his ankle, and the next guy moments later made contact with his knee. So, imagine you are flat on your back holding your left leg up, and having to 300 pound guys charging from oppposite directions, one hits your ankle, and the other the knee and roughly the same time. That appears to be what caused his injury.

Let's hope they come back with knee bruise or something like that, since he was walking without help to the cart.

There have been few as positive about this season as I have been. Feeling that even with the injuries, the offense would continue to get better and all those yards would soon start to turn into points.

However, depending on how serious Cutler's injury is, my positive outlook will dissapear. My theory of the second half being much better than the first, revolves around Cutler, Marshall, Scheffler and crew getting a little better each game.

So, hopefully the sickening feeling most of us feel right now, will dissapear, but if not....

Paymah is matched up with one of the top WR in the league. The Lions have 4 WR that could be 1's or 2's on any other team causing mismatches. Lions are doing a good job of moving personal to get those match ups.

Defense has held up some what 3 FG's, 1 TD.

The pulse I have gotten people have just not given the Broncos opponents any credit. We all know the Broncos are struggiling but they are playing teams that have been through that and have gotten better.

His leg are not broken. I know all the stories with insane exertion, but for one it is simply not possible to walk on a broken leg, at least not for normal people anyway. Second he was on his way out of the field. If it was broken he could just let someone carry him.

Agree - it definitely hurts. For so many years, we did not suffer anything CLOSE to all of the injuries that we have had this year. Just like one of the announcers said - Shanahan has always had a game plan to plug in someone to cover an injury, but this year he is really being tested. I think that was an UNDER-STATEMENT.

Yes, this year definitely is not ours - It looked like a Mash unit out there today - the medical staff definitely earned their pay.

Article on todays injuries:

Joining Cutler on the roster of injured players was running back Travis Henry, who was injured on a 22-yard run up the left sideline midway through the third quarter. He did not return.
Matt Lepsis, D.J. Williams and Brandon Marshall received treatment on the field for injuries but returned. Glenn Martinez absorbed a shot with 57 seconds remaining and was able to leave the field under his own power, but was slow in his gait to the sidelines.
After being listed as questionable throughout the last week with a pinched nerve, John Lynch was inactive for Sunday's game. His participation in the Thursday and Friday practice had been limited due to the injury. Joining him among the game-day inactives were fullback/running back Mike Bell, wide receiver Javon Walker, tight end Chad Mustard, guard Isaac Snell, defensive tackle Amon Gordon, defensive end Javris Moss and safety Curome Cox.

Let's drop the Plummer bit, because he's not the topic.

I don't believe there is harm in a little monogram. Even if he spelled out "Long
live Jake Plummer," it would not draw any action for me. What if I said, "Long
live Al Wilson," or "Long live Michael Anderson"? Would that draw the same
response?

I'll say it: Long live Jake Plummer! :coffee:

(But I'm still glad the Broncos have Jay! :D )

Yes, by his posts before, we can't help but assume he's implying something. The unfair thing is that we're supposed to leave that implication alone, yet if we respond to it, we're out of line.

Yea. Anyway all I know is that we this team is bad shape. Physically and mentally beat up.
