They have an extra day to prepare before Monday night's game in Atlanta, but the Broncos will be short-handed in the secondary against the up-tempo Falcons offense if cornerback Chris Harris' ankle doesn't improve in the next two days.

Harris was not in uniform during the open portion of Friday's practice.

He has a sprained right ankle and has yet to practice this week. Since the Broncos kept just five cornerbacks at their roster cutdown to 53 players to open the season, Harris' injury could leave them with just four cornerbacks in Atlanta.

The real shitty part is the 4th cb is tony carter. Who IMO is muuuuuuuch worse than syd and Dayton. He is alright as he doubles as a pr/kr and is fast, but as a cover man I have never been impressed.

This hurts. We need him bad. Time for Boldin to be a star

If he doesn't play, this is a huge blow to Denver's D. Harris was playing well IMO against the Steelers and the Falcons are definitely more aggressive this year with this up-tempo offense and no-huddle plays. They're going to need to bring the pass rush big time.
