With the Broncos' second- and third-stringers expected to get the bulk of — if not all of — the playing time in the final preseason game Thursday night against Arizona, the starters were able to start preparing this week for the Sept. 9 season opener against Pittsburgh.
The Broncos had two prac- tices this week between last weekend's game against San Francisco and Thursday's game against the Cardinals.
"It was a weird week," said tight end Jacob Tamme, one of the offensive players who spent time working with Peyton Manning on passing routes during special-teams drills Wednesday.
