DN, I really didn't know what Paxton looked like or his #. It sounded like he was lazy and we don't need that on this team. I agree with chazoe in the other thread, this was one of McD's stupid moves.

Lonnie was one of my favorite McDaniels "what the f are you doing" guys.

We had Mike Leach, absolutely no reason to release him for Paxton. None whatsoever.

Just McDaniels being McDaniels.

One of the many reasons I hate that Douche's guts. Dumbass. :coffee:

I hope he never has another head coaching job... ever.

You're looking at it wrong brutha. I want McD to get hired by every team in AFCW. We've had our turn, next up? The Chargers after Norvelle goes 6-10 this season.

Yea, but if by some miracle his team would beat the Broncos, we'd have to look at him doing his immature fist pumping like he did after the win against New England

He wouldn't get all that excited, he beat us every day for almost two years. He's used to destroying the Broncos.

Well, Mcdaniels lied to Cutler, pissing him off, paving the way for Peyton Manning. He also drafted Tebow, a brilliant move that turned Tebow into a folk hero!!!!! Those were Mcdaniels best moves.

No, showing excitement about a win isnt immature. But not shaking the opposing coaches hand & running down the sideline fist pumping like you've just won the superbowl in week 6 is immature.

Fist pump in the locker room, at home, at the gym. Dont do it in front of 80,000 people & be so dramatic about it.

That's like Manning going over to the DB he just throws a touchdown on & screams "IN THE FACE" at him as he's walking away.

No. That's like saying NASCAR is safer now because Dale Earnhardt crashed into a wall at 180mph & died. No.

It took a series of unfortunate events & very painful events to some fans to get where the Broncos are today.

Glad we got Manning, but god, credit isnt due to McDumbass.

Classy coaches are like Tom Landry and Don Shula. They acted their age and not their shoe size, unlike Mcdaniels.
And I was just kidding about Mcdaniels making moves. Meant it sarcastically. Mcdaniels, everything he touched he turned to shit. I just hope the few players who are leftfrom his regime will bring some level of redemption. Laphonso smith, is that guy washing cars yet? I think Mcdouche traded a first round pick to put that guy on the failed list. How we have recoverd so fast is a miracle.

You just hate hate hate it when people like a player... especially if that player is one McDaniels cuts.

I don't know anything about Leach...other than he was a long snapper. But the cutting and him and signing of Paxton wasn't a dumb move because it was Leach.....it's because it had NOTHING to do with play, and purely to bring "NE guys" in. Its like the trading of Scheffler. Its not Scheffler by himself, its the "Group" that it went with. Hillis was a fan favorite, and it wasn't the trade of him ALONE..its the fact that we had NO running game, and then McDaniels trades him away for a crappy QB just to trade him away.

How is the McDaniels Fan club coming? Any more members join up besides BTB?

So I started wondering myself about his wages so I found this site:

http://www.spotrac.com/top-salaries/nfl/long-snapper/

This was their list of long-snapper wages"

1
Jon Condo at (Raider)
Long Snapper
$1,175,000
2
Mike Leach at (AZ)
Long Snapper
$1,000,000
3
Joe Zelenka at (Falcons)
Long Snapper
$925,000

So since Paxton was projected to make $ 925,000 that would put him in the top 3/4 players at the position. In my mind, given that he has made 98/99 % of his snaps that seems fair to me, but I am not running their accounting office either. I just know that if Lonnie didn't do his job at the Chicago game which was major high pressure I don't think that Prater would have made both those kicks that won the game.

They did say on the radio that when they brought Binn (I think that was his name) for the NE playoff game he made all the snaps perfect. BTW according to DMAC the Broncos insisted Paxton stay home when his wife was in high risk of losing the babies, it was not Paxton's choice. Binn had not played all year and was just hanging out and not working out. That could of gotten the FO thinking do they still need Paxton.

Brewer is a big kid. I'm glad that he has a history of tackling on ST and hope he can continue this in the NFL. I just hope we don't have to talk about him during the season because of a messed up snap.

Nomad
08-28-2012, 06:56 PM
I have the upmost confidence Brewer will do a fine job and the coaches know what they are doing. It's if he gets hurts kicking ass on STs, who's his backup?

Hillis had all of 54 entire yards when he was traded that season. Less than 400 in 32 games.

That's an average of less than 12 yards per game...

I was wondering that myself earlier today, but I was swamped at work and didn't have a chance to check. I think if it's going to be done in vB, the best option would be something in CSS as I don't think IMG is exposed.
