Minus last year, they have been bad for so long that some of the hate has worn off.

My 2000th post. It took me four years to get to a thousand and only one more year to double that. I'm on a roll.

Go Broncos. Let's knock the snot out of the 49ers.

My sister is a HUGE 49ers fan for some unknown reason, but at least she's not a Raiders fan. She's going to the game since its one of the few times she ever gets to see them play in person. Hopefully she enjoys the game, but not the outcome!

Would like to see an acceptable outcome... a Broncos victory. Actually, I just want to see us play solid football in all three phases of the game. That goes for all the players, but especially the starters who are suppose to play into the third quarter.

I too am hoping for a good outing of the starters. I am a little nervous so far. Here is to a good and safe game, no injuries, and a decisive win showing what we are capable of .... even playing vanilla

I never care about the final score in preseason. I want to see the offense move the ball well, and the defense shut down the run. Let those two things happen along with an injury free day and I'm good to go.

We fully expect Ronnie Hillman to play today. Practiced all week with no setbacks. #Broncos

For SF RT @MaioccoCSN: Did not travel: LaMichael James, Brandon Jacobs, Joe Hastings, K.Brown, Culliver, Fleming, Hampton, Mario Manningham.

Blog: Broncos Position Battle: Who will return kickoffs and punts? http://dpo.st/ODrB3Y #broncos

Peyton Manning chatting with a SF coach (not Harbaugh) at the 50. @CamInman, do you know who that is?

DT Kevin Vickerson, who missed most of the week recovering from a concussion, going through warmups. Looks like he'll at least dress today.

Luke Del Rio down on the field helping out with pregame warmups. Working on some drop backs in between QB-TE drills. #Broncos

Two hours before kickoff, Keith Brooking and Mike Mohamed doing conditioning drills w/ a strength coach. Neither of the LBs will play today.

Was just told all of the stadium lots are full. If you're not here yet, head to Pepsi Center and Auraria Campus #Broncos

Greetings from Mile High! Kickoff two hours away. Gorgeous day here in Denver. pic.twitter.com/EzyP46pb

@TheBazi6810 I believe Auraria is open. Didn't see anything about Broncos' parking changes.

What I want to see today is:

Better Red Zone O I know its preseason but its about as bad in the RZ now as it was when KO was here.
I want to see better execution of the Offense and the Defense.
I want to see Bruton continue to be awesome on ST. Also Thompson show strong in ST returning.
I want to see the front 7 get to the QB maybe 3 sacks and 5 hurries in the 1st half.

There is more but cannot think what the others are as this time. I had them in mind when starting then it just disappeared lol...

He's just completely average to below average. Pretty much average at everything. Average arm strength, average accuracy, not very mobile, not great at reading a defense. An okay backup but not a starter.

CLARK AT A GLANCE:
• A third-year offensive tackle who has played 24 regular-season games (6 starts) in two seasons with Denver seeing time on special teams and as a blocking tight end/eligible tackle on offense.
• Spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons on Minnesota’s practice squad after competing in Tampa Bay’s training camp as a rookie in ‘08.
• Started every game at left tackle during his final three seasons at the University of Southern Mississippi, earning All-Conference USA recognition following his senior year.
• Played in the New Orleans High School All-Star Game and was named an All-District offensive guard as a senior at McDonogh 35 High School in New Orleans.
• Assigned to the Broncos via waivers from Minnesota on Sept. 5, 2010.
• Entered the NFL with Tampa Bay as a college free agent on May 2, 2008.

I like the coaching strategy in this game.
They have some very tough personnel decisions to make real soon.

Instead of the traditional "starters for 3 quarters" the coaching staff started pulling starters in the 1st quarter.
Although SF left their first in a lot longer, it gives the staff essentially 7 quarters to evaluate prospects.
3 this week, the traditional 4 quarters next week.
Eliminated unnecessary injuries to "no doubt starters" as Nomad pointed out.

Maybe they were just rotating a little. It was 120F on the field today. I noticed that DT came out of the game once Hanie came in at QB (even though most of the starters were still in). I started to worry that he got hurt but he seemed fine on the sideline. It's possible that Del Rio is trying to give Ayers every opportunity to contribute after being demoted in favor of both Hunter and Wolfe.
