Bailey, Hill, Thomas to start camp on PUP

The Broncos on Thursday placed veterans Champ Bailey, Renaldo Hill and Marcus Thomas on the active/Physically Unable to Perform list.

Players, who reported Thursday morning, had to pass their physical and the conditioning test in order to practice on Friday.

Bailey had surgery on his elbow just after the 2008 season ended but participated in all of the team’s minicamps this spring. He told The Denver Post on Tuesday that he felt “100 percent.”

Also, no team picked up rookie wide receiver Lucas Taylor off waivers — he was waived on Wednesday — so he on Thursday was placed on the reserve-injured list with an undisclosed injury.

champ is fine,he's just making room for the young guns to practice .
he doesnt really need to play til the 3rd week of pre-season.
smart move on both he and mcD's part.
they said this is going to be the most physical camp the broncos have had in years,so why risk injury to a clear probowler?
he can watch and study the new system as well.
