Apparently, Eddie Mac is taking over color duties on KOA for Broncos broadcasts. Griese has been offered an increased role as an ESPN analyst for college football.

The only place I have confirming this is another Broncos message board, fwiw.

For the record, I "coined" this thread.

I have no idea how Eddie Mac will be, but I really liked Griese. As long as I don't have to listen to Hastings again, it's all good to me.

Eddie has been "coining" his game over at Altitude for at least a year, and I like his style.

Former Broncos receiver to handle color commentary for 850 KOA's Broncos game coverage.

Starting this season, Broncos legend Ed McCaffrey will handle color commentary for all Broncos games on 850 KOA. McCaffrey will work with 850 KOA's Dave Logan, who is entering his 16th season as the radio play-by-play voice of the Broncos.

McCaffrey replaces Brian Griese, who now has an expanded role with ESPN's coverage of college football.

rest - and, at end of article, place where you can click to hear Eddie Mac on Dave Logan's show talking about the Broncos

Griese was damn good, not surprised at all. The Broncos have to have more former players in broadcasting than another team. Probably starting with TJ, to Beuerlein and John Lynch, Stink, Sharpe, right on down to Eddie Mac, they're all over the place.......
