Know this Staff Sgt. Jesse Childress: You have done more for Elvis Dumervil than your favorite Broncos player has done for you.

A day after Childress was buried at Fort Logan National Cemetery, a humbled Dumervil presented one of his framed game jerseys to Childress' family members following the Broncos' practice Sunday.

Along the stem of his "2" Dumervil inscribed: "Sgt. Childress, My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Jesse will always be in my thoughts and I will play with him in my heart."

Thank you Carol for this article. It brought tears to my eyes. I'm so glad that Doom reached out to Staff Sgt. Childress family, a very touching story.

Yet another reason to like and respect the man.

... or his agent.
sorry folks, this does not make doom any less of an idiot!
I am inclined to believe this was all orchestrated by his agent/ PR director
At this point I am sceptical about doom's ability to make smart decisions off the field.
