Ok, just over a month to preseason and the time of year I like to predict the future of the Broncos. Instead of the usual "How many wins/losses" I just want when you think our first loss will be and also our final win of the season and what place we finish in.

I KNOW ITS TOO EARLY TO TELL FOR SURE, THIS IS JUST FOR FUN! :D

I'll start:

First loss of the season- vs Patriots Week 5
Final win of the season- vs Chiefs Week 16
Final Standing- 2nd place (Wild Card, What the Hell)

5-12 huh jr? Did they extend the season to 17 games? ;)

First loss: Week one against Cinci
Final win: Week 15 against the Raiders
Final standing: 7-9...third place behind the Chargers and Chiefs

First loss: Cincinnati week 1
Final win: Kansas City week 16
Final Standing: 8-8 (2nd place behind chargers, miss playoffs)

I think there's just too many new faces combined with a difficult schedule to expect a playoff team this season.

Ok, records are ok to predict but stick to the rules too. First loss, final win, and final standing. I guess if you want say if we make the playoffs too.

first loss- Baltimore
final win-KC
10-11 wins- I cant decide if we lose to the pats. I think we do and get 10 W.

We might face some really tough defenses. But we dont face too many teams with really good offenses like, NE, INDY etc. If we had Jay i would say 11 for sure. But i dont know how fast Kyle will grasp this.

We win a playoff game and and then fold.

Wow, that would be cool to be 6-0 going into the bye week!

I wonder how many in the media would be scrambling to get their story straight, things like, "I told you Denver would be a dark horse team! I knew they made the right decisions!"

First loss = Cinci

Final win will be immaterial by that time

Final standings = 6 and 10 with yet another poor defensive effort

Football Outsiders NFL/Bronco Projections

First up this is a teams mean win projection. Not their projected record. So Lets say your team is at 7.9, you're projected to win 8 games. If you're 10.5 then you're right in between 10-11 wins.

NFC North
Chicago Bears - 10.5
Minnesota Vikings - 8.8
Green Bay Packers - 7.4
Detroit Lions - 5.8

NFC South
Carolina Panthers - 8.3
New Orleans Saints - 7.8
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 7.2
Atlanta Falcons - 6.6

NFC East
New York Giants - 10.0
Philadelphia Eagles - 9.3
Dallas Cowboys - 8.0
Washington Redskins - 7.8

NFC West
Seattle Seahawks - 9.9
St. Louis Rams - 8.2
San Franciso 49ers - 5.7
Arizona Cardinals - 5.6

AFC North
Pittsburgh Steelers - 9.6
Baltimore Ravens - 8.8
Cincinnati Bengals - 6.9
Cleveland Browns - 6.6

AFC South
Indianapolis Colts - 11.5
Jacksonville Jaguars - 10.2
Tennessee Titans - 9.3
Houston Texans - 6.9

AFC East
New England Patriots - 11.4
Miami Dolphins - 6.4
New York Jets - 6.2
Buffalo Bills - 5.3

AFC West
San Diego Chargers - 12.5
Kansas City Chiefs - 6.7
Oakland Raiders - 6.0
Denver Broncos - 4.9

Super Bowl: San Diego Chargers over Chicago Bears

for the Bronco part that looks about right to me as we speak..

do not think the bolts or bears will see super Bowls lights unless the buy ticket to the game..

I think the Bears could be shooting for the SB namely because the NFC doesn't have the firepower of the AFC (Colts, Patriots, Chargers, Steelers, Ravens etc.). Pretty interesting to see where they got the Cardinals pegged, though. Same for Jacksonville; people always got them going places but they never do.
