Man, that movie was about 5x as gayer (gay as in dicks, men kissing, grabbing each other, etc.) than I thought it would be.....

But my favorite line in the movie occurred after he was kicked off his Austrian TV show:

"For the second time in a century Austria has turned its back on its favorite son".

I don't like Sasha Cohen's character so I'll skip this. He reminds me of an over the top Yakoff Smirnoff. No thanks.

I am seeing this tonight just based on Da Ali G Show. My favorite one was where he went to the skinhead "Evil Fest" and interviewed some death metal skinhead band from Britain.

I thought Borat was funny, but only saw it once. I like this kind of "make you uncomfortable" humor.

I share your feelings.

I wish there were more Hitler jokes. I only counted like 3.

My buddy said that Bruno has more "make you uncomfortable" type humor than Borat did. I'll see the movie eventually.

An excerpt:

SEX/NUDITY
Most of the following is played for intended comedy:
Under the opening credits, we see brief homosexual caressing.
We see Brüno in small shorts that show part of the lower section of his bare butt.
Brüno prods a man to do an intro for Brüno's show, wanting him to show one of his "balls," but the guy only shows his pubic hair by lowering the front of his pants down to the point.
Brüno wears a full piece, cloth-type outfit that has a covered penis and scrotum on the front.
We see a male model wearing just small shorts while reclining in a glass box of some sort.
Brüno mentions his seven minutes of love with Milli (Rob Pilatus from "Milli Vanilli").
We see a montage of Brüno and his male lover, Diesel, engaged in sexual acts. That includes Diesel on a stationary exercise bike where his pedaling moves a pole (with a dildo on the end) in and out of Brüno's rear (a black circle is visually superimposed over the actual contact area); Brüno using a fire extinguisher inserted into Diesel's rear (ditto the black circle); Brüno stretching the long rubber bands on a huge slingshot so that he's propelled -- butt first -- back onto his lover's unseen penis (another black circle); Brüno spinning Diesel around like a clock hand on his penis (black circle); that man using a dust buster type device on Brüno's penis and scrotum (fully seen flapping around inside that); and Diesel with a bottle of champagne up his butt and Brüno picking him up and pouring the champagne from that position.
Brüno tries to get into a fashion show but is refused, and he tells the man that they had sex nine times and "you tried to make my face pregnant."
Another man pats Brüno's former male lover on his clothed butt.
After Lutz pleads to be his new main assistant, Brüno asks if he's going to wake up with Lutz masturbating over him, with Lutz replying he promises not to wake him up.
Brüno adjusts his unseen penis (we see the bulge) that's down his pants leg.
We see the top of the back of Brüno's thong as his pants partially ride down.
Brüno goes to an "anal bleaching salon" where we see him on all fours with his pants down, while a female worker waxes and bleaches him there (we don't see the actual contact, but do see the side of his bare butt). Brüno talks of another place where the workers were exhausted after waxing Selma Hayek's pubic area, saying they got enough to stuff a mattress. While he talks his agent on the phone, Brüno tells the woman if she could take her finger out of his "ass" (not seen).
We see a fully nude man wheeled out prone on a table with food all over him and what appears to be a condom on his penis.
Paula Abdul shows cleavage.
Brüno stares at Lutz's clothed butt as the latter bends over.
During footage of his program that's being shown to a focus group of men and women, we see Brüno dancing around in small and Speedo type shorts (with pelvic thrusting, etc.) and then a close-up of his penis flapping around in all directions. It then sticks straight out straight toward the camera, and the small opening on the end shouts, "Brüno!"
About test footage of Brüno's pending TV program, one viewer wrote that the only way Brüno will get famous is with a sex tape, and we then hear Brüno repeat that to Lutz. We next see Brüno preparing to do a TV interview with politician Ron Paul, but when a light blows out, they're asked to go into another room to wait. That turns out to be a hotel room where Brüno starts putting the moves on the politician who's initially unaware of what's occurring. During that, Brüno offers Paul some champagne, stating that there's no ice bucket, but he knows where to put the bottle (a reference to the above anal scene), starts dancing around (including with his butt out toward Paul), and then drops his pants (revealing his small briefs). Paul storms out, angry about the "queer," while Brüno laments that he couldn't even "schtup" RuPaul (confusing the cross-dresser with the politician).
Brüno visits a psychic and asks if he can kiss his supposedly contacted-from-the-hereafter Milli (Rob Pilatus from "Milli Vanilli"). The male psychic says yes, so Brüno acts as if he's French kissing the invisible male spirit, followed by the motion of dropping the invisible man's pants, licking his penis, spitting in his hand for lubrication for a "hand job," licking the testicles, spreading the man's butt cheeks to lick his anus (while reaching around to stimulate his penis), and then performing oral sex (including gagging a bit and then acting as if some semen got into his eye -- he comments about an eyeful of what sounded like "spoonken").
Two miscellaneous women show cleavage.
We see Lutz pedaling the stationary bicycle attached to the dildo-equipped prod that rocks a baby's crib.
Brüno goes on a talk show with his baby, talks about being gay, that his baby is "a real d*ck magnet" (for Brüno), and we see a still photo of the baby in a hot tub with Brüno and other men, including one who's upside down in another man's face, thus putting his rear and/or penis at face level.
Lutz carries Brüno out of a restaurant on his back and complains about Brüno's hairbrush poking him, prompting Brüno to state that's not his hairbrush. The next morning, they wake up, bound together in S&M garb (in the spoons position with Brüno behind Lutz who has an elaborate gag in his mouth). Hotel personnel then arrive, with Brüno wanting them to unlock their cuffs, but those men want nothing to do with that, and Brüno complains that he should be in this same position with someone with "a PhD in sucking d*ck," while the TV remote is stuck between a set of one's bare butt cheeks. That's followed by a view of Brüno and Lutz still dressed and attached that way, walking outside through an anti-gay demonstration and then onto a bus where Brüno ends up on top of Lutz on the floor (we see most of Brüno's bare butt in his thong or jock strap type bottom). Later, Brüno tells Lutz that their encounter was due to "carb goggles" and that he was high on snack food.
We see Brüno dragging along racks of clothes as well as his aforementioned dildo prod device.
Brüno says he needs to go to "c*ckaholics anonymous" and then is seen with a gay to straight conversion specialist. Brüno asks the man if he (Brüno) can play the clarinet, with the specialist replying only if it doesn't remind him of what he puts his lips around. Brüno then asks about a flute and then other woodwind instruments up one's rear end (using slang for that), with the man saying no as that would be dangerous, but Brüno replies only if one would loose the reed.
Brüno visits a martial arts instructor and informs the man that he needs to learn how to defend himself against gays who "want to schtup me." The man says they'll probably attack from behind, so he shows Brüno what to do in that case, with the joke being that Brüno is coming on to that man in increasingly exaggerated ways. That includes lying on top of the man (both clothed throughout) and trying to pull down his pants, and then coming at him with a dildo. He then asks if it would harder to defend against a black dildo, and we then see him doing that, and then with both, and then with both while wearing one in the front of his pants.
Brüno questions a gay to straight conversion specialist, making sure he's not gay as he tells the man he has "blow job lips."
A military drill sergeant badgers Brüno as a new grunt, yelling at him for having his fingers over a line on the floor. The sergeant yells at him, "Your fingers are in my alley," with Brüno slyly responding, "Not yet" and then telling another such military man he could be a general in the "bitch army."
Brüno wears something resembling a jock strap that shows part of his bare butt.
While with some hunters, Brüno states he never killed an animal, but once suffocated a hamster (a gay joke).
Trying to act heterosexual, Brüno chats with some male hunters about liking "vageenas" (vaginas). He then states he doesn't want to wake up with a torn "ashen hole" (or something sounding like that, meaning "*******"), with one of the men agreeing. Later, and referring to the starry night sky, Brüno states that it reminds him of hot guys in the world. Later (and seen through a green, night vision camera), Brüno sneaks over to one hunter's tent and informs him that another hunter is gay and the two of them (Brüno and the one he's talking to) should share the latter's tent for safety. That doesn't happen, and we later see a distant view of Brüno returning to that same tent, fully nude, stating that a bear ate all of his clothes, leaving him with just a condom. Nothing happens, however, as the hunter curses at him and storm out of his tent.
Brüno states that he's repulsed by the idea of "making sex" with a woman.
Brüno attends a swingers' party and asks questions of a straight guy there, with the talk going to that of positions, such as missionary and "reverse cowgirl." The man then demonstrates that to Brüno (who sits on the man's lap - both are clothed during all of this -- first facing away, and then toward him in the regular "cowgirl" position). The man then mentions "69" and "pile-driver," followed by "doggy style," with Brüno convincing the man to demo that, and he briefly does behind Brüno with some pelvic thrusting.
Brüno then walks through the house, observing various sexual encounters. All have direct genital contact blocked out by black boxes and such superimposed over those areas, but one can easily tell what's occurring. One such view has three people pleasing one (one with their head between her legs), while several others show parts of the above "reverse cowgirl" position (we can see movement and hear the women's sexual sounds). We then see other such views, including rear-entry sex, with those involved a bit perturbed with Brüno for watching and chatting but not participating, telling him it's about "f*cking" and "p*ssy." One woman then takes Brüno into a room, strips off all of her clothes (we see full frontal and rear nudity) and Brüno comments on her enormous breasts (and the amount of milk she must have in them). She then starts to undress him, but when he's too tentative, she starts whacking him hard with a strap, and lifts one leg up, telling him to get on his knees and perform down in her pubic area. After she strips off his clothes down to briefs that then reveal another pair of briefs below them, Brüno throws himself out a closed window to escape.
Brüno, posing as a straight cage fighter, rips the clothes off two female models there, revealing them in small bikinis (all part of the show). He then repeatedly comments on his heterosexuality, including that "my *******'s just for sh*tting" (repeating what is seen on a viewer's shirt). Brüno and Lutz battle in a cage fight, with punching and other struggling, leaving Lutz with a bloody mouth. After a few moments, however, the two passionately kiss, with Brüno undressing Lutz and kissing his nipple before dropping his pants, with both eventually ending up in their small briefs on the canvas. All of that infuriates many viewers who throw beer, other stuff and even a chair against and into the cage.
A song during the end credits has the line "just make lover forever."

What is it about gay-stereotyped movies that draw straight guys...?

Its not gay-stereotyped movies, its stuff like this and Jackass where you are in on the joke when no one else in the movie is. Its harmless fun.

I saw this last night and it was pretty good. Borat was a bit funnier because he was more a fish out of water, whereas Bruno was more someone who just invaded your personal space for the sake of doing it. Surprisingly, most of the laughs came from the people he interacted with (like the Southern Martial Arts instructor who let him demonstrate what to do if someone attacked you with dildos). The humor was really uneven, but it was still funny. Still, I'd only give it a 7 or 8/10.

Cohen is a funny dude. But I won't go to the theater to see it. It just isn't funny enough. I'll rent it later on when I'm bored.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I think Cohen is a genius, but my wife hates him and that whole brand of humor, so the theater isn't happening. I'll probably catch it someday on TV

Saw it this afternoon. I was really worried that it wouldn't live up to Borat, but I think it did a fine job. Waaaay the Hell over the top as Borat was, but hilarious none-the-less.

I would give it 8/10.

I just wish that he would have toyed with Ron Paul a little bit more before Ron decided he had to pull the plug. Also, wish that he would have done a little more with Fred Phelps whacko group.

That review is ridiculously hilarious. It's christian review website, look around...it's awesome.

Crude/Profane Language:
Close to 30 f-words, many of them used sexually. Ten or so s-words. Crude, vulgar and obscene words—in English, German and just plain made up—are repeatedly used to describe sexual acts, sexual body parts and anatomical functions. God's name is mashed up with "d--n." Jesus' name is interjected as an oath.

Drug and Alcohol Content:
Champagne shows up several times (once in a directly sexual context). Folks drink beer and other forms of alcohol in hot tubs and at the cage fight. Cigarettes and a hookah are smoked. Brüno remarks that he'll have to resort to other peacemaking methods in the Middle East since he doesn't have "enough Ecstasy for everyone."

What about that pastor in Alabama, though? What does Jody Trautwein, a youth pastor at Point of Grace Ministries church in Birmingham, Ala., think about getting punk'd by Brüno? When the New York Post asked him that very question, he responded, "Having counseled those that have been in the homosexual lifestyle and understanding the perversion and deception that accompany that lifestyle, I did not think him that unusual. I had encountered those things before." He continued, "No one likes to be deceived. But the bottom line was, whether it was Brüno or the man I now know as Sacha Baron Cohen, I knew that the truth of God's word was going straight into his heart."

More to the point of this review, Trautwein told The Birmingham News that even though he unwittingly became a part of the film, he's not interested in seeing it. "There can be very blasphemous things in there," he said. "I have no desire to see the movie in its entirety. I have no desire to expose my heart and mind to what's in there. It's an example of the deception and perversion that is trying to enter our world through the entertainment industry. The holy and precious things of God are not to be touched and not to be mocked. I pray God has mercy on Sacha Baron Cohen."

I'm quite interested to wonder why they bothered watching this one and reviewing it because it's pretty blantantly inappropriate.

Sweet! Thay have a review for Freddy Got Fingered on that Website!

other negative elements: Freddy Got Fingered’s most serious perversion is its mocking references to child molestation. Gord accuses his father of abusing his brother Freddy (hence the film’s disturbing title). His accusations prove groundless, but the "comedic" damage is done. Freddy, age 25, gets sent to the Institute for Sexually Molested Children, which is full of absurdly happy, carefree kids. And then there’s the dreadful birthing scene. Blood drips down his face as Gord chews through a newborn’s umbilical cord. Even worse, he then whips the baby around by the cord, soaking everyone in the room with blood.
