This summer, we've seen teams try to improve by all three methods.

The Build-and-Pray, this one is tough. That's going on here in Denver, where the Nuggets, like other teams around the league, are building a young, talented nucleus and praying that a couple of guys ascend to an all-star level.

The NBA is definitely one of the tougher leagues to break through in. Since 1983 only the Celtics, Bulls, Rockets, Spurs, Lakers, Pistons, Mavericks, and Heat have won titles. That's only 8 different franchises in nearly 30 years. It's just next to impossible to break through in the NBA unless you get SUPER lucky.
