Some love for Atwater

Maybe not thread worthy but tonight on NFL Live Mike Golic said Steve Atwater was the hardest hitting player in NFL history. He said there was ballhawking and peoplehawking and Steve Atwater was a peoplehawker! Nice to see some former Broncos getting some love.

I actually caught the end of that and it was nice to see. Who was the middle-commentator with the jacked-up finger? That thing was gnarly. Also, in case anyone wants to know, the guy with the messed up finger chose Rodney Harrison (admitting he was dirty, but still a very hard hitter).

As I said in the other Atwater thread, if he played for the Skins, Cowboys, Steelers or 49ers back in the day he'd be one of the best Safeties in history according to most 'experts and analysts', and there'd be talk of his impact on the position today.
