Official Broncos Forums Fantasy Football League 2012

Hello & welcome everyone! This is the forum's official fantasy league, and is open to all members.

The league will be separated into two (2) conferences, the Eastern Conference (run by SeeingRed) & the Western Conference (run by myself). The conferences will function as independent leagues (each conference will have it's own draft, draft time & date, pool of players, etc), and the overall league champion will be the conference winner that scores the most points in the championship game in week sixteen. Everyone who "registers" in this thread is welcome to play as long as we have even numbers to make the conferences, but it's going to be on a first-come first serve basis, so if you want to play in 2012, post in this thread.

August 19, 2012 will be the registration deadline, so if you want in, now's the time to sign up! We had 20 participants last year, but there is always room for more. We will keep the league size to 20 and if we get past twenty entrants I will keep a running tally and update-- we can accommodate as many as want to play, as long as we have even numbers that can easily be broken into multiple conferences (20, 24 30 etc).

Once there is a final list, each participant will be randomly placed into a conference, and then we'll send out invites and get everything set up (draft date, draft time). Since each conference will have its own draft, I won't be able to give you draft dates until we know who's in which group. Each conference will follow the exact same rules, which will be as follows (same rules as last year, for those who participated):


This is a standard head-to-head style league-- when I know the size of each conference, I'll let you know how many teams will make the playoffs. Week 16 will be the championship. We'll do a live, online draft-- 18 rounds, snaking each round. We'll be using fleaflicker again this year.

Yea they are live drafts, but if for some reason you cant make the draft, you can rank players & it will automatically select your team based on your rankings. So it's kind of both actually.

I haven't made the live draft either of the last two years. Maybe the last three years? I don't know. I've not made any of the live drafts at all. I tried in 2009, but I was in GA and the hotel wifi was giving me fits so I gave up. Last year I was fishing. I don't know about 2010.

When I started in these leagues it was fleaflicker. Personally, I prefer Sandbox.com but you have to pay for it so not everyone would be willing to. The plus to that is you get a prize if you win the league.

I have played in random ESPN leagues for the last 3 years on ESPN and last year on NFL.com There can be so many idiots in those leagues that never keep up. I swear half the time I am playing against a team that is half on IR.

SeeingRed is going to be doing the league shuffling, but, he's on vacation at the moment & will get to it after he returns from that.

Once you get that info, email or PM the league commish of your league & we will send you ladies & gents the email from fleaflicker.com that contains the league password.

The email will contain a direct link to that league, all you will have to do is click the link & it will take you where you need to go.

Well, we all know Shanahan's value on RB's. He hardly ever drafts them early in the draft, Portis in the 2nd round is the earliest I can remember him ever taking a RB.

He likes to get guys off the street because he believes that his scheme makes the RB, not the player. His 1000 yard rushers 7 years in a row, if memory serves me right, is pretty clear that he knows what he's doing when it comes to RB's.

I drafted Helu late because I thought he'd be starting, but now it looks like Morris will be the No. 1 runner. It's a gamble with Shanahan. Always has been.
