This can actually be helpful in getting Marshall done to a deal.

Possibly.

Jennings has been productive in his career at GB.

Hopefully this adds some light to the contract situation of Marshall.

Jennings was in the last year of his deal.

They extended him.

Lets hope we can get it done.

Jason La Canfora, of NFL.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/156), reports Green Bay Packers (http://www.kffl.com/team/17/nfl) WR Greg Jennings (http://www.kffl.com/player/13933/nfl) has agreed to a new deal that will run through the 2012 season, according to a league source. Jennings will earn a maximum of $31 million in the deal, should he reach the $5 million in incentives. Jennings will earn roughly $16 million in 2009, between his signing bonus and base salary.

No need for the Broncos to worry about it until after Marshall's trial in Georgia is over.

Perhaps but IMO his contract should have his signing bonus contingent on him being on the team.. staged out as a roster bonus per see..

and frankly I do not see marshall agreeing to anything less than what JWALK got in OAK last year.. because he is a dumb shit..

no al "the gal" davis is the dumb shyt and im sure if marshall thinks anyone in the league is gonna give him a 55 mil contract he knows he'll have to join the other losers in oakland and start hatin' life.
cuz bowlen wont pay that kind of scratch for a guy who gets suspended once a year:salute:

True...but he has yet to go through an offseason without getting arrested.

i know but he has put the team in a position where they cant be sure he will be on the field next year and for that matter goodell has made it known he cant have anymore "conduct issues" and with his track record ....i dont like the odds.
i think he's a great player and would love to have him sign a long term deal.
but no matter what people think of mcD,this problem lies squarely on brandons shoulders.
and its up to x and bowlen to give him an extension, not mcD.
brandon knows there is a good chance he will be suspended after he goes to court,so he wants paid NOW ! and thats not fair to the team (yes even if there are clauses in the contract to relieve them of some of the $$$)
because the time spent working with him and not with a reciever who will actually be on the field will cost the offense cohesion and timing etc....
so basically they now have to assume that he wont be ready for tc and look at other options.

He was suspended for 3 games, reduced to one & two 'suspended, contingent on him staying out of trouble'

I can quite easily see those two being 're-activated' if the court case goes against him :whoknows:
