Rod was the only one I could think of.

Was Steve Watson drafted? I don't think he was.

Does Willie Brown count? He was an UDFA originally signed by Houston in 1963 but was cut in camp and signed by the Broncos where he became a starter as a rookie. Unfortunately, we traded him to the Faiders in 1967 (dumb of us) where he became a legend...

Other than that, I just can't think of any that made a big impact.

I double checked, and you are correct Watson was not drafted.

Anyway, I think hands down Rod Smith is the best undrafted player to this point in Denver's history.

There have been some others that had some success in Denver but to date I don't anyone else has had the kind of success that Smith had.

Steve Watson probably would have had similar numbers to Smith if he had played in the same era.

Wrong (to an extent.) Elway was drafted where this thread is talking about undrafted players. Elway does not count.

Potato/Potato, Tomato/Tomato, He wasn't drafted by us. And since the only guy I could think of that fit the criteria was already used he's my choice. He'd be your choice to if your grass was as green as mine and your glass was half full instead of half gone. You've killed your grass, stop pissing on mine. If John Elway isn't the greatest player the Broncos didn't draft, then My head is shoulder deep and something smells like crap. Looks like its gonna be a shitty day too.

OP set up the rules as undrafted, as in not participating in the draft at all. Don't worry about not coming up with names. The only other name I could have listed was Karlis due to a story that I read about a year ago about his start in the NFL. You didn't have to comment if you didn't have a name (or did I miss the humor you were trying to inject. That could of easily been your intent as well, I suppose. :D )

As for your day? At least you're not in Colorado Springs smelling campfire smoke everytime you leave a building, praying for any kind of moisture and no more 65 mph winds pushing a fire back into the city.

Yeah, the fire's gone back to its creepy crawly thing. Yesterday the fire grew from 15,300 acres to just 18,500. Beats the 9,000+ it gobbled up on Tuesday when the frelling thing chewed threw hundreds of homes on the west side and the Flying W Ranch. I've heard estimates that around 300 homes were lost on Tuesday. During that firestorm firefighters were in the midst of it saving as many homes as the could, so the neighborhoods weren't a total loss. But that's small consolation for the 95% of people that did lose their homes. Firefighters say they were in triage mode, finding homes that could be saved and leaving ones that couldn't. Sad, sad reality, but at least they were able to save some.

Fortunately, Glen Eyrie was spared (which is amazing since the firestorm started at the top of Queens canyon and the Glen is at the base of it.)
