4 days, forums didn't come online until Monday afternoon. I looked bat at the email I sent to Carol, Top, JR and a couple others and it was 4 pm Monday afternoon (Central time) and our first posts (other than mine, lol) came shortly after that.

Not too bad for the first 100 hours.

I know it won't continue at the same pace, as many of us are 'transplants' ;), but we now have another 12 members since we cracked 100 last night so things are moving in the right direction. :D

The great thing is not just the number, but how many REALLY great posters are in that total. The 100+ members we have here are the cream of the crop.

I'm on a board that KB recruited me to...a Yankees one, VERY similar to this right here.

Upset with the direction of the "mother board", a good group of members created their own board, and I believe it got a lot of members fast, and has only slowly grown since, to about 500...and this is well over a year and a half old. BUT, of those 500, I'd say about 200 of them contribute almost daily, and they're active enough to keep going strong.

I think that's what this could wind up being.

Somewhere down the line though, like in 3-4 years, this could wind up with over 2000 members.

We'll have to wait and see.

If you look at BM, there are over 52,000 plus registered, but we all know that the majority of them have never posted, have posted very few times, or have posted at one time, but do not post anymore. It would be interesting to know out of the 52,000 plus, how many really post consistently.

I'm not in a great big hurry to get huge. If we can get to that 500 with
200 active, that would seem almost ideal. A good enough number to keep
the board active, yet small enough so everybody knows each other and
be a small, tight community. Sounds pretty good to me. :grouphug:
