Think Manning is taking us to the playoffs this year? Willing to put some money on it?

Denver is currently a 9.5-win bet in Vegas, meaning you'll win if the Broncos chalk up 10 victories and you'll lose if it is 9 or less.

A manning led offense is only going to add 1 1/2 wins over last year?
I guess our defense is going to be horrible

Not the same schedule as last year.

Agreed on the estimate. This team could be good but unless some teams fall off the schedule for this year is insane.

9.5 sounds about right. It's daring people to bet on a 10 win season, or less than 10 wins. Thats pretty much the sum of it. We have a tough schedule, a new QB, a new offensive scheme, a new defensive coordinator... a lot of changes have happened this season. Seems like a good place to start the line.

I'd say that's pretty solid given the schedule but I wouldn't touch the Broncos at all this year.......

The biggest takeaway from this is simply that Vegas expects us to have a winning season.

Feels good =]

Everything obviously depends on the health of Peyton Manning. Will his neck hold up?

That's what's influencing the betting.

If you could look into the future, and say "Peyton Manning will start every game for the Broncos this season, and his arm will be fine" then the odds probably increase to 10 wins (meaning that if you bet the over the Broncos have to win 11 for you to collect).

Given that this season's first place schedule is at LEAST two games tougher than last year's that's like saying that Peyton Manning is expected to be FOUR wins better than Tim Tebow.

(I.e. WITH Tebow as the starter facing this brutal schedule, the Broncos would go 6-10, but with a healthy Peyton Manning, they go 10-6.).

That sounds about right to me.

Last thing I'm worried about is Peyton's neck. But with his age, the overall talent (or lack thereof) on this team, and our schedule...I think 9-10 wins is fair. But I wouldnt be shocked if we won 12 or 7

NO NO NO NO, We did all this work to get Manning after we did what we did last year and to only be content with 9-10 wins is insane. I'm looking at 12 to be the benchmark for this season our defense should be upgraded (hopefully our D-line picks it up) but we should not be in competition for the West by week 15 16 17 we should be in competition for a first round bye maybe even home field!!!

Sent using Forum Runnerthe 'OTHER" consideration is our schedule.
far more difficult this year.
my prediction was ten wins and a play-off berth.
I feel like the line is right where it should be.
I still have concerns about our defense stopping the run, and the ability of our safeties.

just curious, how many wins they predict for the jest and also the rest of the AFC west.

It's really early to be predicting but I penciled us in for 10 wins. QB, offensive scheme, new defensive coordinator and a first place schedule that looks brutal.
