Before attempting to contact Brandon Marshall on Wednesday, Broncos coach Josh McDaniels discussed the NFL's decision in not suspending Denver's standout receiver for his March 1 arrest for disorderly conduct in the Atlanta area.

The case was dismissed March 2 and Marshall received a letter from the league Tuesday saying he would not be disciplined for the incident.

"Happy that the league reviewed that situation and put it behind them, and looking forward for Brandon playing a full season," McDaniels said after a passing camp practice at team headquarters today. "We'll talk here shortly. I'm sure he's relieved that that's past him as well."

Marshall, who is recovering from hip surgery in Orlando, Fla., still faces possible league sanctions because of a previous run-in with the law. He is facing a court case this month in Atlanta stemming from misdemeanor battery charges from a 2008 incident with his former girlfriend.

"Out of our control," McDaniels said of Marshall's court case. "That's a league issue, and whatever they come down with, or whatever they decided, we got to deal with it, and we'll do it at that time."

McDaniels said he is not concerned that Marshall is rehabilitating from his hip surgery in Orlando.

"Rehab is going fine. He's doing everything he's supposed to be doing, everything he could be doing," McDaniels said. "None of our injured players are out here. That's standard procedure, so he wouldn't be out here either. We're excited about the opportunity to get him into the offense when he's healthy."

Why don't they have a guy like Marshall in Denver attending meetings and so-on? Trying to pick up a little of the new scheme.

Why waist time asking obvious questions? Of course he is happy that he is going to get to keep one of his starting players. Any coach would be happy to learn that they will get to keep a third string player. Tell me something that I could not figure out on my own.

Hey...I'm a Cutler fan...a Shanny supporter etc....but McDaniels is the coach now. Look, I thoght and still think that letting Cutler escape was an ego war lossed by McD. But, Marshall is a WR and IMO not worth the hype. He either gets better and on the team...or goodbye!

If you are stupid enough to think that the Broncos aren't monitoring him, good for you.

He's in a supervised program not in Denver because that's where the doctor is. Standard procedure.

You don't leave the place where your specialist is when you are trying to recover from surgery.

I love stupid people. :elefant:

it is not about him being monitored in his rehab and frankly after the surgery almost anyone can monitor what is going on..

that said he needs to be here learning the scheme with his teammates fr every day he is not it drags the rest of the team IF he is going the be the starter farther behind.. in both the class room or on the field listening/watch the practice as they go on..

FWIW did you ever stop to think the other 4 folks might be right and the pot should no be calling the kettle black?

Don't care if it is "standard procedure". Procedures change all the time Mo. I can't believe it would not benefit a skill player, especially, to be tuned in.
