I'm a Canadian from Winnipeg and we just signed a former QB of yours Darrell Hackney and was looking for some fan takes on him and his game.

Thanks

Rebus

Lacks great physical tools, but he is a gamer. I was always a fan.

Hackney doesn't possess great control on his throws. He can make some nice plays and then look awful for an equal amount. Could never develop a consistant rhythm in the passing game.

My feeling is that he might prosper in the CFL against a little lower obverall talent base.

I always liked hackney, but we only saw him in preseason against the scrubs. He moved the ball pretty well from what I remember. I wish him good luck.

He is short but he has a nice bubble.

You need to ask Cicero, Hackney's biggest fan....

He was our 3rd string qb, so he's not the second coming of elway but... he was a lot of fun to watch, he doesn't give up on plays and is not afraid to run and take hits. I hope he works out because I really liked him and I think a lot of guys here feel the same way even if he was just our 3rd string backup.

Hackney has a howitzer for an arm; he has solid mobility and isn't bad at reading coverages. Problem is, he was pretty short and his accuracy was inconsistent. He should do fine in the CFL and could blossom into a strong player there.
