Looks like you changed your avatar. That robotic bird was just not the business.
In the off season I change it pretty much weekly.

Colts fans shouldn't really be talking. Your old ass team can easily finish fourth in your divison, especially with all the changes you have with coaches and such.
if we finish fourth because of changes then, thats not too suprising, we'd have a reason to get better
you're still looking for an excuse for your sorry ass teams playoff drought

Here is a great article I came across
Pat Bowlen's offseason to-do list must have read something like this:
Fire the head coach -- the guy who won nearly 60 percent of his games, plus two Super Bowls, who would have been the winningest active coach if he still had a job -- who was also the general manager.
Hire a first-time head coach younger than many NFL players.
Have your new coach alienate your franchise quarterback by pursuing another franchise quarterback. End up with neither franchise quarterback on your roster. Instead, you have Neckbeard
.
Acquire three mediocre running backs to replace the mediocre running backs already on your roster.
Draft another running back in the first round, perhaps in hopes that NFL will allow you to use three balls at once.
Trade next year's first-round pick for a short cornerback who everyone else in the league, including yourself, has already passed on at least once. In fact, you passed on him twice.
The funny thing is, they probably could have limited this list to one three-word item -- "Fix lousy defense" -- and contended for the playoffs again in 2009. They had the second-worst defensive DVOA in the league last season, behind only the historically bad Detroit Lions. But by weighted DVOA, which places added emphasis on the later part of the year, the Broncos were dead last. So they started out Lion-like, and then they got worse.
Actually, it got lost in all the Jay Cutler drama, but Denver did try to fix their defense. They announced a switch to a 3-4 formation, and could have a half-dozen new starters on that side of the ball. Most of the turnover came in the secondary, where only Champ Bailey remains. The Broncos brought in Philadelphia's Brian Dawkins and Miami's Renaldo Hill to play safety, while Andre' Goodman, also formerly of the Dolphins, will man the other corner. What do these four have in common? Mileage; they've played a combined 38 seasons. The mane on their helmets may turn from orange to grey soon.
And then came the draft. With a bevy of defensive players available, the Broncos reached with their first pick, taking Georgia's Knowshon Moreno, who may not have even been the best back available, and could get lost in the shuffle of Broncos runners this year. Then they finally turned to defense, taking Tennessee linebacker Robert Ayers, who could start on Opening Day. And then things got truly nutty, as they traded a first-round pick in 2010 to Seattle to select Alphonso Smith, a 5-foot-9 corner with great ball skills who may get eaten alive by bigger receivers.
If Josh McDaniels' offense won't work without Randy Moss, if Kyle Orton can't match his own 2009 performance -- let alone that of Jay Cutler -- or if the new defense shows its age, then 2010's to-do list may begin "Watch Seattle spend the first pick in the draft. Which they got from us."

They will next year, since basically your team has forfeited the 2009 season. Your own damn ownwer basically admitted that your team would suck next year.
But I want you to keep thinking the Donkeys are going to make some noise next season. That way, when they fail, like they always do it will hurt you more.
Go Denver!!
Since the merger? Lmao. Looks like this fool is going WAY back in history to try and make the Donkeys sound respectable.
Look, little man. throughout your pathetic team history, there has been ONE constant. Oakland OWNS denver.
Shake it up anyway you like, it's just the truth. Deal with it.
LMAO. And two of those wins came against your pathetic ass team.
Shanahan was a great coach when he played the Raiders. But now that your dumbass owner fired him, expect this rivalry to go back to the good ole' days when the Raiders OWNED the Donkeys.
I hope you Dawnkey fans ain't afraid of the dark. Because it's going to be hella dark down there in the NFL Basement.
Owned.
who said Denver was going to make any noise next year?
not me.. I know its going to be a tough road ahead esspecially next year, I even predicted a 5-11 season. But Denver fans are excited about the future seeing how Xanders and Mcdaniels are building a solid foundation, unlike drafting or trading for the "sexiest" player thinking thats going to win you championships.
I mean, you guys just drafted a WR in the top 10 based on speed... overlooking 3 very productive players in Maclin, Harvin (who I both think are faster with pads on than Heyward bey) and a top 2 prospect on most teams boards in Michael Crabtree.
face it the Raiders will never compete in this league until Al Davis is retired or dead.... enjoy fighting for that #3 spot in the afc west once again.... also enjoy getting hyped as if you just won the superbowl just because you beat a divisonal opponent... Thats the difference between you losers and Broncos fans
We expect to beat the Raiders every year.... If you beat us just once than you guys are good for the rest of the year... its a Superbowl celebration whenever the Raiders win an afc west game.
one more thing.... I have to go way back to make the "DAWNKYS" sound respectable.. is that what you just said?
for the past month Ive seen you come in here yapping gums on how the Raiders own the Broncos overall not realizing that the last 20 years Denver has dominated the raiders... not to mention Denver has 2 Superbowl rings during that time... how many for the raiders?

Your butt kissing owner is past lunacy. Tell me what sane Owner would fire his HOF coach. Then Hire a 32 year old assistant coach, who was a waterboy prior to being an assistant. Then proceed to let that new coach alienate your star QB. And then let that same 32 year old air head trade away your star QB for a bunch of picks. And then let that same coach trade away one of those picks for a CB?
What the hell? That doesnt sound sane to me. Pat Bowlen is a butt kisser. All he does is ride the coatails of his coaches. He is a little punk.

The Raiders drafted him to be Zach Miller's towel boy, since that's the only thing Iowans are good for.

What's that? I was too busy enjoying my low taxes, low cost of living, and lack of police sirens to bother reading your drivel.
By the way, Robert Gallery, starting Guard for the Chokeland Faiders was a Hawkeye.

Robert Gallery? He FAILED as a Left Tackle. He failed just like every Iowan.
He is a pretty decent guard though, he is top ten in fact.
And the reason there are hardly any police in Iowa is because, who the hell really cares if somebody commits a crime? Living in that state is punishment enough.

Chris Johnson - Top 5 CB second half of the season.
Shane Lechler - Best Punter in NFL history
Janokowski - One of the best kickers in the NFL
Nnamdi Asomugha - GOAT.
Thomas Howard - Behind Lance Briggs, best 4-3 OLB in the NFL.
Kirk Morrison - Very solid up and coming MLB
Derrick Burgess - When healthy he is still a dominate pass rusher
Robert Gallery - Top 10 Guard in the NFL
Johnie Lee Higgins - Best returnman in the NFL.
Just missed
Dareen McFadden - When healthy, he was the best rookie runningback.
Michael Bush - See week 17 against the Bucs. Stud.
Justin Fargas - Almost 2,000 rushing yards the last two seasons.
Cooper Carsisle - Very, very solid guard.
JaMarcus Russell - Will breakout in 09

Donkeys top 5 players.
Ryan Clady - Great rookie season, but got a lot of help. Also, Jay Cutler is a very mobile QB which helped Clady out. He won't have that this year with Neckbeard.
Brandon Marshall - A thug, but a good player. Expect his numbers to go down Immensely now that Cutler is gone.
Champ Bailey - Even though he got abused at times last year, he is still top ten. But this is his last year. He is old, declining and injury prone.
Ryan Harris - See Clady.
And then honestly I can't think of another notable player on your roster that I would consider to be good. Maybe I am forgetting someone?
Dj Williams is the definition of average.
Eddie Royal will NOT put up numbers like that again with Kyle Orton as QB. He's maxed his potential
Brian Dawkins is old and past his prime.
Kyle Orton sucks.
Peyton Hillis will probably get cut because he doesn't fit into McJoke's offense.
Jarvis Moss is a bust
So tell me Donk fans who am I forgetting?

actually, this is not a bad post. I agree with some of it.
I don't agree with you on royal, he may not get the numbers he had last year, bttytt, I would think it better that we don't see 4500 passing yards ever again. The offensive line is solid, I hope and think that the additions to the running game will provide some offense for us.

Well, he doesn't even hold Champ's jock.

Nnamdi > Champ Bailey.

Yes. Thomas Howard is a beast.
And DJ williams is average as hell. He has never settled down at one postion, and this season he is being asked to play 3-4 ILB. He will be exposed in the 34 defense.
All I see is upside on the Raiders and extreme downside on the Broncos in your evaluations.

OaklandRaider's thorough use of the word "Owned" guarantees the only vag he will ever see is the one that birthed him.
4. owned
Originated as a term used by hackers to describe gaining possession of a system, having hacked a box and got root they basically control it as much as if it was theirs, thus it could be considered owned by them. From this it was encorporated into the cultures vernacular including the limited(and awkward to type) vocabulary of so called l33t speak(0wn3d) Would-be hackers would come to use the phrase when taking someone out with a ping flood or other DoS attack, and although no access to the victim's system (typically another newbie hanging around on the same irc channel speaking in numbers) was gained yet they were still said to be owned. From there is came to simply mean bettering (or ******* over) someone and was even used to describe non-computer based events as described in the many other definitions. Since we're talking about the draft and whatnot..
Defend the Robert Ayers pick. You know, the guy who was a major disappointment in college? Ayers was the top overall prospect coming out of High school. He was expected to do big things in the SEC. He goes to Tenn, and stinks it up. I don't even think he was a starter until his senior season. The guy had 3 sacks last season LOL. Explain that for me please.
Defend trading your first round pick next season to Seattle to get back into the second round to select an undersized cornerback you passed on TWICE already? LOL, I laughed so hard. I need one of you Donk fans to explain that.
Also, explain why the hell would you trade back into the second round to select Richard Quinn, a tight end that caught less than 10 passes last season? I don't understand that, especially when you have Daniel Graham on your roster who I believe has a 30 million dollar contract. Also you have Tony Sheffler.

As far as Ayers, he's a freakish athlete, but I'll wait to proclaim him a starter/much less the best outside linebacker in the NFL until I actually see him play.
All reports are that Richard Quinn is a much better athlete than his production at Carolina shows. Also remember that McDaniels looked to ship Sheffler because he wasn't sure that he fit into his scheme. Quinn fits the scheme.
But again...I'm not going to go making ridiculous statements like saying Mike Mitchell will be the best safety in the NFL in his first season, like you have done.

I AM At work but i will take a quick stab at this one..
Ayers- He DOMINATED ALL the top prospects at LT and RT in the senior bowl and combine. Mike Mayock who i regard as one of the best scouts out there had him ranked as the best DE/OLB propect in the draft. So how about that.
As for Phonz- thats what they call alphonso smith-taking him at 18 is way to high. So passing on him twice means nothing. But he is regarded as one of the best CB in the draft, and his IS the TOP CB in getting turnovers. If people think that his height is going to be an issue maybe they should ask champ bailey as he is only 2 inches taller. Do you think that is going to be an issue- i dont. Or maybe they can ask asante samuel, spudd webb, dre bly they were all short and tore it up.
Quinn- he had 12 cathes i think. but the man is a beast. I still think we oculd have gotten him later, but it is what it is. He is the best blocker out there. So when he and graham line up we have essentially TWO more tackles in the game, only they can both also catch passes really really well. Just one more thing that the defense has to worry about, as they can block any LB you throw at us, and they can run a route and catch a pass when you leave a hole.
besides this, quinn is beastly. Look at him esp. when he has the ball, he is a big freight train, i like what i saw from him.
Hows that scotty.

Robert Ayers - Too slow to be a OLB. Too undersized to be a DE in a 34 defense. No production in college, and has been said to have character concerns. His stock rose because of his senior bowl performances, otherwise he's a second round talent.
Richard Quinn - LMAO. Who? Less than 10 catches last season. Once again a player with NO COLLEGE PRODUCTION. A decent blocker, but other than that, he's a UDFA type of player.
Alphonso Smith - He's actually a guy who produced in college. YAY! But guess what though? He doesn't translate to the NFL level at all. BOOO!! He is short and slow. Those are two attribute you do NOT want to have as a CB in the NFL.

Derrick Burgess - When healthy he is still a dominate pass rusher
Robert Gallery - Top 10 Guard in the NFL
Johnie Lee Higgins - Best returnman in the NFL.

Dareen McFadden - When healthy, he was the best rookie runningback.
Michael Bush - See week 17 against the Bucs. Stud.
Justin Fargas - Almost 2,000 rushing yards the last two seasons.
Cooper Carsisle - Very, very solid guard.

It doesn't change the fact that the Nuggets got ROLLED. The whole wind was sucked out of your city
and when was the last time your city had a champion of any sort.. Did I miss something between the 60's and now?

Honestly I don't see what's so funny about that post.
If you saw the Raiders play last season, you would've noticed that the offensive line was holding JaMarcus back from showcasing his talent that made him the first pick in the draft.
With an improved offensive line, I expect fireworks.
Laugh all you want now. I'll be laughing when JaMarcus is lighting up your soft ass defense next season.
What I want to know is what is improved about an offensive line that you said held him back? The same line is returning, with NO upgrades at all. What are you going to say when Garcia takes the starting job away?

You don't live in Oakland.
What's your ******* point?
My point is that this topic is geared to the poor folks that live in Denver. If I ever make a topic that is smacking the pitiful state of Missouri, then you can enter that topic. But this one is for the folks in Denver, so **** :D
That's my bleeping point. You bleeping starfish

Fail.
Mario Henderson is replacing Kwame Harris. Henderson started 5 games last season and only allowed 1 sack. Those five game happened to be some of Russell's best games of last season.
Samson Satele, who was an all pro rookie center, will be replacing Jake Grove. Samson PERFECTLY fits the ZBS scheme. We traded a 6th rounder for Miami to acquire his services.
And Khalif Barnes will be replacing Cornell Green. Khalif Barnes has been an anchor on the Jacksonville line for the past four years. He will be switching from LT to RT, where his power blocking will become a huge asset.
Not to mention we have Robert Gallery and Cooper Carlise returning. One of the best guard combinations in football.

Not in the last 15 years. EVER.
Learn how to read.
This might be the dumbest post ive ever read in my entire life.
Jamarcus Russell is a better prospect then John Elway or Peyton Manning?
LMAO!
Elway had a stronger arm, more accurate, much more athletic, quicker release a lot more productive college career, and obviously much more intelligent. Russell cant even speak english for christ sake.
I would also argue that even Matthew Stafford is a better prospect, what did Jamarcus do in college that Stafford didnt, at what skillset is Jamarcus better then Stafford at?
NOT ONE THING
Not to mention the Lions dont need to worry about Stafford's wieght issues every off season.
Prospects like John Elway, and Peyton Manning were projected to be NFL starters coming out of highschool and were set to be 1st overall picks whenever they decided to come out since they were sophmores in college, Your boy Jamarcus was only a 2 year starter who had 1 solid year but was never projected to go #1 overall until his great performance against a very over-rated Notre Dame team in the Sugar Bowl..... that and a pro day.
Im sorry but Im not going to call Russell the best prospect ever because a couple stand out games and a pro day work out with nobody rushing him.

If Carlisle actually was good, then I daresay the Broncos would have made a bit of an effort to keep him. They didn't... because he sucks. He was a backup in Denver and would still be a backup today because the younger OGs on our roster are far better than he ever was.

Running behind Carlisle, the Raiders averaged 4,4 yards per carry.
You're ignorant if you think he sucks.

Just think, the Raiders could have passed on McFadden, drafted the better RB out of Arkansas in Hillis in the 7th round, gotten better production from the RB position via Hillis, and spent your first round on a position of need. The QB. Joe Flacco is already a better QB than JaPuffus Russell.

ROFL @ You if you think Hillis is better than McFadden.
Hillis couldn't hold McFadden's jock strap in college, still can't in the NFL.

And the Broncos' injury-plagued RB corps averaged 4.8 yards per carry behind our O-line. Carlisle would not be a starter in Denver because our less-experienced, younger linemen are better than he is.

Why would I be jealous? Our O-line is so much better than yours it isn't funny. I'm actually delighted that your team took McFadden because that left Ryan Clady (who is a more valuable player) still available for us to take at #12 overall.

Your oline is overrated. I have every Denver Bronco game of 2008 saved on my computer and it is amazing how mobile Cutler was. He avoided at least 15 would-be sacks. Also, Cutler isn't the smartest QB in the world. When he was about to be sacked, sometimes he just flung the ball away and it got Intercepted.
Also only reason you're team average 4.8 yards per carry last season was NOT because of your offensive line. It was because of Jay Cutler and his arm. Denver threw the ball A LOT last season, so when they did run the ball it caught the defense off guard and you were able to get nice little gains on the ground.
But with Kyle Orton, lol good luck trying to replicate that 4.8 average again. Defenses will NOT respect Neckbeard and his weak little arm. Moreno will have to be the focal point of your offense. Moreno is slow and not explosive at all. I'd be surprised if he averaged over a 4.1 YPC.

Perhaps... we won't know that for sure until the games begin. We do know that for such a young O-line they performed very well in '08.

Also, your offensive line was built by Shanahan specifically for HIS offense. We don't know how they will perform in a whole new offensive system.
We don't even know if you guys will even run the ZBS anymore. McDaniels also talked about pulling guards.
It's a whole new different ball game with McDaniels. You Donkey fans are kidding yourself if think your oline will be nearly as good as it was in 08.
