Denver traded up into 2nd round and drafted TE Richard Quinn from North Carolina.

We gave up both 3rd round picks to the Steelers. We got the last pick in the 2nd round (Quinn) and the last pick in the 4th round.

At least they got a nice player.

Wrong side of the ball.

But definately a keeper.

I can only suspect that McOpey and Xanders are drafting for the first pick in the draft next year. Of course they couldn't even get that right 'cause they could have had the #1 over and another first round pick. Just think of all of the opportunities they could have had to piss those picks down their legs too!

Oh my goodness.

We gave up both of our 3rd round picks for a blocking Tight Ends.

Especially considering the fact that we have Scheffler, Graham, and re-signed Putzier.

No.. you ca't move into the second round by only giving up a 3rd. Thats the kind of trade McDaniels would make, but not anyone else in the NFL

We gave up both our thirds, and got a 4th from pittsburgh. So we got the last pick in the fourth round, the last pick in the 2nd round for both our third round picks.

It was reported as our 3rd alone on NFLN. As silly as that seems.
Where are you getting both our 3rds from?

I have no issue with McD going after his guy, but it seems to me that they offered some unnecessary compensation for Quinn and Alphonso Smith.

Where did anybody hear this? I'm not saying that it's wrong, but on NFLN they only reported 1 3rd rounder being gone... Caught me by surprise too.

right here it shows..

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/team?team=den&draftyear=2009

It shows that we gave up our 3rds for their 2nd and 4th. So basically, we got a high 3rd (last pick in the 2nd) and a high 5th (last pick in the 4th) for our two 3rds.

Use common sense. How the hell would we trade 1 of our 3rd rounders for a 2nd round pick?

We traded both of our 3rd rounders...

Nice job of looking at things is a failing perspective.

if thats what you prefer. Saying we got the first pick in the 3rd and the first pick in the 5th isn't any different from saying we got the LAST pick in the 2nd and the LAST pick in the fourth... same thing.

Either way, they are the SAME picks... but thats how the trade comes about. the last pick in the 2nd is basically the first pick in the 3rd and the last pick in the 4th is the first pick in the 5th.. just as people look at the first pick in the 2nd is the last pick of the 1st, and why the last pick of the 1st is basically the same value as the first pick of the 2nd round.

a high 3rd and a high fifth for 2 mid 3rds..... you can change that annnnnny way you want tomake yourself feel better. But 19.99, is still a 20 dollar bill to me.

in fact.. the last pick of the first round, and the first pick of the second, have a MASSIVE 10 pt value difference.

The last pick of the second, and the first pick of the third, have a FIVE point value difference.

So I'm pretty confident in saying they are the same thing....

Yeah, that's what I mean. Trading next years 1st was ghey. Then we trade two 3rds for a back up TE. Is that really what happened?

Very disappointing.
