I know these are temporary, but as it stands, would you feel comfortable with the current starters on defense?

I want someone other than Elvis starting at LOLB; I think he'll get burned when he drops back. Boss just feels like an injury waiting to happen again. I'm hoping Larsen gets one of the ILB spots, and graduates from his current #2 spot on MISC. :D

NT, I wouldn't mind reaching for that in the draft, just to make sure we have a decent one for this style of defense.

As it stands, I think this could be a decent transitional defense, until we're stocked with solid young playmakers. I'm also hoping Thomas and Powell can win the DE spots.

looking at that roster has me thinking we will still get murdered and blown away on game days. im not scared of that defense at all if im the chargers.

That depth chart is speculation from Feb 8th.

It's also a ways off from what was reported at Mini-camp.

Reid and Crowder played OLB. Askew and Peterson were the starting DEs.

Andra is an ILB. I'm also pretty sure that there's no way Boss is an ILB whatever his injury status.

yeah boss playing ILB would be a travesty. that depth chart is a joke. my 3 year old could design a better roster for them.

Not to mention Niko is not even on the team anymore.

Did anyone expect this to be valid once they saw it was from YAHOO?

Hopefully the defense's technique in tackling improves this year, because I don't care whose out there if they don't wrap up and bring down like they have in recent years then it's going to be a long season of 'WTFs'. Hopefully Nolan fixes this!!

Niko Koutouvides

That takes any cred away from the whole thing...

Parts of it is a decent depth but I am not sure why Thomas would not be given a shot at DE. A 300 pounder as athletic as he is would seem an ideal fit to me.

I never thought of Davis as OLB but he is listed at 250 so could work out. Just never gave it thought.

Yahoo's depth chart is usually more updated than nfl.com. While just a month or so ago, nfl.com still had more of the former players on their depth chart, yahoo had already included the newer acquisitions. Right now, nfl.com seems to have a blank depth chart.

Though Niko is still there, he won't be within their next update.

The good thing about it is, it already reflects a lot of the player acquisitions, and that would be helpful for those who haven't been following them too keenly.
