from article:

“I’m excited. I’m happy that the Broncos were reaching out to me and wanted me back in the organization,” Hunter said. “I’m definitely excited to be a Bronco again.”

Hunter was an important part of the Broncos’ defensive line rotation in 2011, playing behind starters Elvis Dumervil and Robert Ayers. Hunter said he has spoken with new defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio over the phone. He wanted to meet with coaches in person today when he returned to Denver to sign his contract, but most of the staff is out of town doing draft preparations.

“I’ll be able to play both sides if needed, play in different packages,” Hunter said. “I’m like a utility guy. I can play wherever they need me.”

DENVER – Every player, at some point in his career, has said he’ll do whatever the team asks if it helps the club win.

Defensive end Jason Hunter exemplifies this maxim better than almost anyone I’ve covered.

When he came to Denver in 2010, he hadn’t played outside linebacker in the pros, but he did it in Don “Wink” Martindale’s 3-4 defense, affording him the most playing time of his career in the weeks that followed. He even expressed a preference for staying in the 3-4, even though he appeared to be a bit too bulky to be a natural 3-4 outside linebacker.
