Too bad I can't stream stuff at work. Would have been nice to have a summary of comments made. :(

Too bad I can't stream stuff at work. Would have been nice to have a summary of comments made. :(

Things that stick in my mind from listening to the 104.3 interview yesterday:

He was very diplomatic about why he picked Denver. Said any of his three choices would have been a good one, but felt most comfortable with Denver.

At the same time, he said his job is now to go to work and be the best player he can be for Mr. Bowlen, John and Coach Fox. (I believe that's how he referred to all three).

Excited to get back into his normal routine, though it is in a different location. Will be in Denver the entire off season in that routine.

DMac asked him about being the "face of the NFL" in terms of commercials, league advertising, etc. I believe his exact quote was "I dunno 'bout all that." and he then went on to talk about the game being a business of relationships, with players, coaches, team employees. Said he'd like to have played with Clark, Wayne, et al, forever, but he's looking forward to forming new relationships. Mentioned Champ Bailey specifically as someone he knew. (so, he did kind of dodge that question).

Since DMac and Alfred are in Arizona and Rockies camp, they started off talking about his relationship with Todd Helton. Said it would be really nice to be in Denver this summer, not only to have a chance to see Helton play, but to be in a city with a Major League Baseball team, because he's never lived in a town with one. Said he enjoyed having a relationship with Reggie Miller and going to Pacers game, but said he would really enjoy being able to go to Rockies games this summer, because baseball is his second favorite sport (behind football).

Said with Helton, Stokley and John Lynch in town, that was a plus, but not a huge factor in the decision.

Said the goal is to win a Super Bowl, even this year, because that's why you play the game. Said he was impressed that that was the mentality of Bowlen, Fox and Elway, and that all three expressed that to him.

That's what I remember...hope that helps...
