Every year they release an alteres version of the original recipe. This year they released the original with no changes. So they went with the old school design on the bottle. Just a basic lager, but really good on a hot day.

Shiner has a ton of different brews, some of which are exclusive to TX.

I drove up and took the tour when I lived in San Antonio but that was like '94 or '95. All I ever remember seeing was the classic brown bottle/yellow label Shiner Bock. Huh, learn something new everyday.

Fact. I'm not a big fan of any Shiner beer. I like their Wild Hare enough to drink it if nothing else is available, but the rest of it is nothing to call home about. Unless you're a Texan and one of the dumb ones that thinks everything that comes from Texas is the best in the world.

Well, they've had Shiner Blonde for quite awhile, too. Bock is easily their top seller, but they also have a Hefeweizen, Black Lager, Ruby Red and a Pale Ale, too

As a parent you die a little inside when your kid strikes out, gets insulted, encounters failure, what have you. The flip side is you can't beat the feeling when they succeed at something, especially as hard as performing in front of an audience. You can see how nervous she was early in, but she delivered anyways. That's a good skill to learn. I'm really proud

I wasnt going to critique it, but you could see and hear the nerves a little at first. But once she got comfortable, she sounded great. Performing in public comes with experience. She has a gift and I hope she sticks with it.

Thanks. The great thing about a formal music program like she is in is if she can sing classical choral music she can sing anything, because she is learning fundamentals. Her choirmaster is outstanding, because the kids are learning to read music, including some extremely complex pieces that have up to six different vocal parts, yet he keeps them enthused through three practices a week. She actually looks forward to practice days. This is completely foreign to me, and I would have hated it as a kid, but she isn't me after all.

I can see that. I can see where the structure could be good. I guess with me as far as women and relationships have gone, it's either making your life a little bit better or a whole lot worse. I am sooo glad I don't have an ex who I'd have to deal with assuming there where kids still under 18. Also glad that I'm not married to a dominant controlling, psychotic woman. I would probably just want to get away from her as much as I could and be miserable. maybe even kill her, who knows?

wait a minute, where do I fit in to all of this.

Dread, I see pics of you and then I feel bad for picking on you those few periods of time. You're an old man and you've done enough. Leave him alone.

Thanks, Nut. Joe and I will see to it that you receive an invite, provided you lavish an expensive gift on our young ones. Cash, check, money order, negotiable securities, or real property would all make an excellent and tasteful choice.

It goes without saying, that's fine looking family ya got there.

No, PAGS. Joe and I made this arrangement years ago. Joe will be an ideal FIL to my daughter, and he is a man I admire a great deal for his principals, lifestyle, and football team. His lad is handsome, too.

You understand that this means your daughter will have to join the Catholic Church?

Well...we'll see about that, won't we? Nancy sez Joe's Catholicism is an overall plus, all things considered, but his son might have to convert to the Anglo version of Catholicism - that or it remains a mixed marriage. She reluctantly admitted he is in fact a good looking kid (something she will never admit about any boy at this stage) and the fact that his Dad is both a Republican and a Broncos fan also weighs in favor. We'll make it work.

These are a couple at Lord Burghley's House. It was big. How big? The roof is over 2 acres. The first Lord Burleigh was William Cecil, Queen Elizabeth I's right hand man, effectively Prime Minister before there was such a thing, and she worked the poor guy to death, literally, refusing to let him retire.

Anyways, a couple of interesting shots. He had a "Hell" stairway, decorated with demons and damned souls suffering eternal torment. This led up to the "Heaven" room.

Panoramic shot of the Candlestick Park Stadium from last Thursday night.

Last Thursday night was fun. However, it was sad to see Broncos leave Candlestick Park Stadium for good. So many memories at the stadium. Elway vs. Montana & Young. Three of the best quarterbacks in Candlestick Park history faced off in an offensive duel for the ages.

John Elway's final game at the Candlestick Park Stadium was on Dec. '97. That night, the 49ers had a special ceremony for Joe Montana at halftime. That was Rice's return from injury game, and Romanowski spit in JJ Stokes face. Niners have won that game on Monday Night Football.

Moreover, Aldon Smith and Von Miller traded jerseys at the end of the game.

Great memories at the stadium.

(Denver Broncos got the final laugh at the stadium.) Ha.

No, that isn't Sparkie :)
Sparkie is a good friend, no relation and a foot and one inch shorter than my sister and I and considerably lighter.
In fact the whole amount of weight my sis has lost would practically amount to losing Sparkie!
