Stanley!! That hotel is awesome!! Riding horses there is friggen EXPENSIVE!!! I was going to take my girls, but not at that price. Although the Stanley is an awesome hotel, we did not stay there because of its costs. You'll notice that the picture is taken from the road that runs in front of the Stanley, not on the Stanley property.:laugh:

Although the 2-hour rides were a little pricey, we thought the expenditure would be worth it because:

1. We live in MN and don't ride horses;
2. The scenery and experience of a two-hour horseback ride in the Rockies and the Rocky Mountain National Park;
3. The lifetime memories our family will have of #2 and the rest of our vacation in Estes Park!:dancing2:

GEM, just because it is friggen EXPENSIVE, do not confuse me with PR:screwy: and believe that I am rich and retired at a young age.:rofl:

1) My sister snapped it with a really really nice digital camera

2) The digital camera is my dad's, so I have no idea what brand it is. We just took it to have something to do.

Its midnight right now, so I dont want to go get it and wake everyone up, but tommorow...er, today....after school, I'd be glad to check the brand, and how many megapixels :D Maybe I'll ask my dad about it too, and try to find the exact camera to show you on a website :beer:

That’s a very nice lookin’ camera. I was especially impressed with the resolution and vibrancy of color, based upon that beautiful pic of yourself you posted. It not only has the megapix, but, obviously, a well-ground lens as well.

Does your dad’s Kodak also have the movie clip feature? In my next digital, this will be a must, as I’ve been spoiled with spoiled with not having to pack two separate cams—still and movie—on a trip. And the movies the S-1 takes are pretty sharp. The downside is, the digital technology—at least in the case of my cam—is such that the movie clips are real memory hogs. For example, you can fill up a 1 gig card, netting only about 15 minutes or so of movie action. Still, compact flash cards are easy to carry and quick to change. But, needless to say, it doesn’t take a whole lot of stored movie “footage” to fill up a hard drive.

There’s probably a ton of compression/conversion software out there that old Uncle Buck is not aware of. The heyday of my photography era was when SLR’s and emulsion film ruled!

Yes, I'm pretty sure my dad's Kodak has the movie clip feature. I remember seeing the option while I was flipping through them. I've never tried making a movie clip though, so I'm not sure how much memory it takes up.

Here is the camera I have and it takes wicked good pics!!

Small too which was a huge buying point for us when we were looking for a good camera...5 MP, tons of picture modes, color accent which I find myself using a lot for cool effects...It's really simple to operate also..

I've had mine for a year now so the price is probably under $200....

Now he's walking on his own, eating on his own with a spoon (sometimes), pooping in the bathtub and on the floor (he took his diaper off and shat on the floor the other day), throwing things at mom, talking (he said hi to me on the phone a couple days ago...I said "Hey little guy it's daddy" and he said "hi"...so cute).

I can't wait to see him...two more months.

On another forum that I admin I started a thread for PICTURES ONLY. Meaning Only post pictures. No back and forth commentary between pics. If someone makes a post without a picutre I delete it within 24 hours.

It be cool if someone would start a thread like that over here. I dont know if people could follow the rules but it definatly be cool and maybe make it a sticky and then we can go back to this thread and other threads to comment on the pics.

That thread has 18 pages with 15 posts on each page and nothing but pics.

Just an idea but I'm not an admin over here so I can enforce anything :lol:
