Yep. That's the place. My recruiter drove me down to MEPS in Harrisburg, Pa in the morning, went through it all day, stayed in a Motel 6, ate some flapjacks on a meal card from Uncle Sam, had a couple more tests/stupid crap (duck walk etc) then got on a plane to Parris Island, SC.

Single Channel Radio operator. I wanted Cav Scout, but it didnt come with the Airborne Option, and thats all I cared about. Little did I know that after basic they were begging people to go "Airborne". So I was the radio guy. I turned down 2 years at DLI as an Intercept guy too. Geez I was a stoopid kid. :tsk:

Gas. . .ugh. It's only 250 miles so between there and back and driving around in town it was three tanks, so around $220 or so. Gas prices are higher there. .. about $3.87 vs. $3.63 here last night.

NJ can REALLY drink. He is definitely experiencing all that college has to offer.

BDB only has control over the area that his refinery supplies. Unfortunately, we surmised that this did not include Cswil's neck of the woods, so he's safe for now.

However, BDB is sending me some contacts. It's only a matter of time.
