All his movies are a pile of shit....he takes a good idea, and then adds a whole bunch of cinamatic CG bullshit and eff's the whole thing up.

I challenge anyone to name a michael bay movie that was good. (and don't say transformers, that movie was a pile of steaming horse jizz, the 1986 animated version was awesome).

transformers was ok.... The acting was sub-par...but being a transformers fan, i enjoyed the action and the CG work... How can u make robots changing into cars without CG??

again the acting was pretty crappy.....

FACE OFF was pretty good....

Ever notice how he has the same shit in his movies:

shitty acting
explosions
fire
slow motion bird scenes
jesus complex

Hahahahaha! I just learned that Michael Bay directed the Meatloaf video "I Would Do Anything for Love".

Bad Boys is OK, and Armageddon's watchable.....................never forgive him for killing Bruce Willis & not Ben Affleck though ;)

FACE OFF????

I though that was John Woo?

Pearl Harbor sucks just a little bit more than I miss you.

Pear Harbor is undoubtedly the worst movie ever. Bay Directed it. Need I say more.

Top of my head, Dusk 'til Dawn 2 & 3 were infinitely worse than Pearl Harbour ;)

Bad Boys 1 & 2 were both great.

Transformers the first was horrible...The only good came out of it was Megan Fox. I refuse to see the second one...>Even though she is in it again.

The Rock was also badass...And I didn't know he did Face off...That movie was cool too.

Not all movies are going to win oscars. But again I am just a sucker for explosions and action. Megan Fox added to the mix and OMG I did not mind my Saturday night at the movies at all.

From the part when they play "You Got The Touch" and Prime takes center stage, to Galvatron obliterating Starscream to dust, those 15 minutes are better than anything Michael Bay has ever done with a camera. Not to mention when Unicron transformed. First time I said "Oh shit!" in my parents' presence. The whole 1986 movie was awesome and was the first DVD movie I brought wheh I switched from VHS.

I liked the first Transformers, but I wasn't too impressed. I have yet to see the second one but I already know it won't match the 1986 film.

I liked Bad Boys because of Smith and Martin, nothing else.

Michael Bay is what I call a non-pornographic porn director. Just like with porn movies, I go to WATCH. When I want a plot, I go to a real movie.

I remember I was 6, and I saw it in theaters, and I cried when Optimus Prime died.

And Unicron is totally more badass than anything in the new transformer movies (also Devestator (constucticons) it pretty rad too).

Oh and I like the Dinobots too!

Man, that animated film is so awesome!

From Team America World Police

I miss more than Michael Bay missed the mark
When he made Pearl Harbor.

I miss you more than that movie missed the point.
And that's enough a lot girl. And now, now you've gone away
And all I'm trying to say is Pearl Harbor sucked...
and I miss you.

I need you like Ben Affleck needs acting schools
He was terrible in that film...
I need you like Cuba Gooding needed a bigger part
He's way better than Ben Affleck and now,
All I can think about is your smile and that shitty movie
too...
Pearl Harbor sucked, and I miss you...

Why does Michael Bay get to keep on making movies?
I guess Pearl Harbor sucked just a little bit more than I miss
you...

One of the funniest reviews I have read about Transformers 2:
http://www.mountainx.com/movies/review/transformers_revenge_of_the_fallen

an excerpt:

What we have here is the cinematic equivalent of a drunk relative at a family function. He won’t shut up and appears to be completely oblivious to the fact that he’s being offensive. That sums up the movie—and Bay’s Neanderthal career. Everything is big, loud and dumb to a spectacular degree.

Megan Fox is overrated.

As far as her acting goes..you are absolutely correct. She is not a good actress.

As far as her hotness goes.....unquestionably one of the hottest in Hollywood.

Ok now I see the meaning of this thread, and I co-sign.

His movies, when they're not remakes of previous incarnations, can be enjoyable at the moment. I liked Face Off a lot. I like both Bad Boys films, but mostly because of Martin and Will. I liked Armageddon when it first came out, but it paled in comparison to the lower budget Deep Impact. Pearl Harbor's story was so bad, I was BEGGING for the Japanese to attack.

But what he did to the Transformers is criminal!!

SPOILER ALERT!

He destroyed the conflict between Megatron and Starscream. Starscream was a favorite because he had personality. If Bay did it right, Starscream could've had a much more meaningful role as an accidental disruptor to the Decep's plans. But instead, all Starscream did was fail Megatron once again. Sheesh.

Jetfire was actually cool. Too bad he got lost in the plot.

Devastator's moment on screen should've been THE dramatic moment in the movie. Have the Autobots turn the tide of the battle in their favor before Megatron gives the command: "Constructicons... form Devastator!" and have the big lug lay the Bots to waste before Prime saves the day, just like 1986. But instead he had five trucks combine to form a metallic husk of junk that's only purpose is to climb a friggin pyramid? Megamaid's transformation in Spaceballs was more dramatic than Devastator's.

And even his ripoffs of the 1986 films are bad. Optimus kills a Decepticon the same exact way that Megatron off'd Ironhide in the 1986 film. But funny, I never remember Optimus paying homage to Charles Bronson.

Michael Bay... you suck Devastator's balls... and those that saw the film know that I'm not making Devastator's balls up. Robot testicals?! The **** dude?! The ****?!

I don't think people who went saw Transformers 1 or 2, and then bought the DVD or Blu-Ray would agree with you.

I liked em both for the special effects, who cares about the damn plot.

In the "I would jizz in .00053 seconds" category, Megan Fox is NOT overrated.

I won't watch any movie that's not in black and white. The shit coming out as of late is total garbage - If there's no Sidney Poitier it's not a good movie.

Go ahead and stand in line with the 20,000 other guys which reminds me of something....that would be finally be a film she is talented enough as an actress to be in, a bakkaki (or what ever it is called) porn film

Basically how i am. I know there are a lot of cartoon and comic geeks who get really wrapped up in how these movies portray their favorites but ive never been a huge X-men and Transformers kind of guy so the movies just turn out quite entertaining to me. I suppose the only movie i would watch with a closer eye is "Voltron" if they ever did one. And yes, i like the one with the cats more than the vehicles. :D

I think everyone liked the lions more than the cars.

When I was a kid, I had the die cast lions set. That was the coolest toy ever created. Prolly worth a mint now.

Pretty much everyone disagrees with me, but I think Armageddon is an awesome movie, probably my favorite of all time. I think many people try to take that movie too seriously and that's why they don't enjoy it. If you just go in expecting a comedy/over the top drama with sweet special effects, I don't see how you can be let down. I think the dialouge in that movie is absolutely hilarious.

I really liked Armageddon too. Owen wilson, billy bob, willis, the big black dude, and steve beusemi.....Yeah, great lineup!!!!

Badboys, the rock, and transformers were good movies also.

didnt he do avatar? That was alright. Pearl harbor was a waste of time. Arent all of his plots the same? I knew the entire plot of avatar before I even watched it or heard about it.

Avatar was James Cameron.

Face off was John Woo...

The Island, The Rock, Armageddon were really good flicks.

Pearl Harbor had some really great scenes, but Ben Assfleck was horrible and the love story was waaaaaaaaay overdone.

Transformers 1 was brilliant for what it was, a freaking movie based off of a toy.

Transformers 2 was ok, entertaining but pretty retarded dialogue.

Haven't seen 3.

Armageddon was an awesome popcorn movie. Sitting at home though, I prefer the movie Deep Impact. Just as Transformers I and II were awesome popcorn movies. But it doesn't touch the 1986 animated movie.

Michael Bay's movies are all the same to me. I enjoy the hell out of them in the theater but they lose their flavor at home. The only movie of his I detest is Pearl Harbor.

After revisiting this thread, I learned that I blocked out how stupid Sneakers is.

Sneakers, I hate you. I hope something you loves catches on fire.

Michael Bay makes movies that are fun to watch.

Megan Fox is incredibly hot.

You sir, are a terrible human being and you deserve no happiness in your life at all.

And you don't have to worry about me having happiness, very little of that happening here.
