I have a football book from '76 that describes Carter as "quick and low to the ground, he can be an ideal middle man in odd man sets"; how true that became. Remember reading that he used to have his chiropractor travel with him to work on him. Great nose tackle who could tie up 2 lineman to keep them off the linebackers, and he could also rush the passer.

They don't make 'em like him too often anymore. And we NEED one now!

Him, Chavous. etc...all great football players and consummate pro's...

Agreed and wish there were more like them today...

Carter is the very definition of what a nose tackles is suppose to be.

Hopefully we draft a guy who is compared to Carter. Carter was a stud and one of the reasons we were a feared defense back in the day.
