I have a football book from '76 that describes Carter as "quick and low to the ground, he can be an ideal middle man in odd man sets"; how true that became. Remember reading that he used to have his chiropractor travel with him to work on him. Great nose tackle who could tie up 2 lineman to keep them off the linebackers, and he could also rush the passer.
They don't make 'em like him too often anymore. And we NEED one now!
