Schefter is saying that the Jets have discussed trading for Tebow.

Thought Experiment
****************

Imagine the following trade was offered by the Jets:

Tebow for Sanchez.

Straight-up.

If you had the power, would you authorize the trade?

No, I'd rather cut Tebow and get nothing than have that smarmy douche bag wear a Broncos uni. Sanchez is complete douche.

Getting slightly more than nothing is better than getting absolutely nothing....so I guess I would.

I say yes because I think he is a good QB that could learn form Manning, but his cap hit could be too much for a back up spot

Hell Yeah.

You don't count, SOCAL... you're one of those USC fans that still thinks Sanchez is "good". ;)

I think it would be somewhat easy to salvage Sanchez's career. And then dump him later...

He sucks ass, but then most back up QBs fit in that category....I would be indifferent to it.

The AFC East Twitter feed was buzzing when the New York Jets signed quarterback Mark Sanchez to a five-year, $58.25 million contract Friday night.

you'd acquire a ten million a year, shitty backup QB?

you people all need slapped in the head. . .

Ravage!!!

I don't see what you would gain from this. Sanchez sucks, and isn't a future for anyone. So you would be trading for a back-up at best. I don't want a high priced back-up, I would rather just have the draft choice. No thanks.

No. His contract is way too inflated. If he was under a reasonable deal, I would consider it but I still feel Tebow has more upside. Ditto for Bart Scott, his deal is unreasonable.

I don't think I'd trade Hoyer or Mallett for Sanchez straight up

Maybe. The yes side is that Sanchez could be a decent backup to Manning. Something we are going to need. The no side is they just resigned him to a new contract that would cost too much for a backup.

No outweighs the yes.
