He mentions the picture, so he obviously feels betrayed like in a divorce. He implies they don't need him, when he goes through a role call of the receivers in Denver. Then he takes a direct shot at Jay, mentioning stats but not wins.

Maybe now, some of the Marshall bashers will want him to stay; just kidding. :D

Hope you do great this season, Brandon!

Yeah, me too. Well now, Marshall has to watch out for himself and avoid some of the trouble he's gotten into in the past. Probably should be that way anyway.

I think Marshall will really turn the corner now that he won't have Jay leading him astray.

Instead of a negative thing, I think those pics of Orton partying with drinks in his hands actually help his image. It's like he's one of our drinking buddies. :D

Say what you want about Brandon being an idiot off the field, but he has always been a good teammate. He should feel betrayed by Cutler IMO...dude left him out to dry and ditched town.

Amen. Jay Cutler is an idiot, but an idiot who doesn't get arrested a lot.

He has every right to feel the way he does. But it's always different when the situation happens to you.

When Javon was in GB, Favre sided with management over the player; he sang a very different tune a few years later when he went up against management. So when it was Javon, he was being selfish, but when it was him, he wasn't. Hopefully, Brandon doesn't have to find that out for himself and he spends the rest of his career with the Broncos.

There was a thread on the Freak that mentioned that some of the players had tried to get in touch with Jay during that 10 day span as well and nothing was answered. Whether or not that was verified i dont know. But seeing how Jay said he played for his teammates and then asked to be traded i can see why Brandon might feel slighted.

Bull$hit!!!

Marshall is most likely thinking...."kiss a lil arse now, get muh contract later!" :elefant:

Only if suspended players can play in pre-season, and if he's still on the team.

Only if suspended players can play in pre-season, and if he's still on the team.

suspended players are allowed to practice and play in all pre-season games to maintain game shape physique, and be integrated into the game plan so that the team is ready and cohesive when they get off suspension.

the player isn't barred from practicing with the team and playing in games until the regular season starts.

then the player cannot attend team meetings, practices, or dress for a game. i dont know if they can even be on the sidelines while they're suspended.

It's interesting that he mentions Jay is a "Great Friend to a lot of guys in the locker room". But unlike Eddie Royals earlier interview, never specifically mentions that Jay is his friend.

With that stats bash, he so done with Jay.

Also to me he seems to state that Kyle Orton is THE Quarterback of the Denver Broncos. Never acknowledging Sims is in the mix.

I thought it was a lack of leadership or something as to why so few actually came out and talked about this, locker room resentment maybe...

So far we have one player who was against the trade and one player who was bashing on Cutler.

Thus far we have no idea what the locker room is thinking. Although at this point I just hope they swallow any hard feelings.

As far as the locker room goes, I think Cutler did us all a huge favor the way he handled the last 2 weeks. Especially with his comment three days ago I think he made it clear that he was playing games here and just wanted a new contract or team. If he had been a little more careful he could have gotten traded while still making it look completely like McD's fault. Then we would have had a divided locker room.

PS. I really like Brandon Marshall, he's always positive, and always seems to say what was on his mind, I even agreed with him when he called out the fans for leaving early in that rout two years ago. I really really hope he gets his **** together so that he can have a long career here.

I'm sure Bowlen, Xanders, and McDaniels have addressed to the team if they don't want to be there then they'll fix that. I believe the players knew Cutler didn't want to be there so they moved on and didn't do a pity party for the fella. Sure it sucks to see potential walk out the door but they know as a team they'll get through it. In my assumption, I'm sure Marshall and other BRONCOS contacted Cutler telling him to let this roll off his back and come join the teammates with Cutler only snubbing them and that's why Marshall displayed some frustration.

No divided locker room here. They're glad to see him go too.I have to admit that I'm very surprised. I really thought this had a chance of causing a lot of problems in the locker room, but from the little bit we're hearing from the players I'm starting to think that they aren't exactly heartbroken over this.

Of course, they could just be toeing the company line. Who knows?
