well we are sure getting value if this holds true. I never liked alex smith, always said that rogers was the better Qb and I was right, but if we can get all those picks plus the two players.

WHo the eff is mike roman?

I Suppose i would be in support for it.

(only because we cant keep jay)

Aha- i looked for the april fools part, but didnt see it. Now i found it. Its a little to early for us to reach an agreement already.

I was thinking about this last night. I thought the 49ers would be a good place to ship Cutler to. We can use the 10th pick to pick up DE/LB Everette Brown of FSU then with the 12th pick, pick up either Rey Maualuga or Brian Cushings. Then in the second round pick up Ron Brace and then whichever RB is available.
This would solidify our D with 3 young starters and help the running game. I don't know what Alex Smith would do with a bump shoulder but he is still young and was the top pick, so he has skills.

If dealing with San Fran, I'd rather get Patrick Willis. Proven commodity.

If went this way I'd rather start Simms over Smith.

I'm trying to figure out if this is a joke or not.

The stories below seem like something the Onion would write....

Does anyone seriously think Singletary will put up with this shit from Cutler?

Raji could go in the top 10. He's a stop gap until we get that franchise guy though unless McD can bring out more talent. We'll see though.

It would be interesting to see what Smith could do with a real line protecting him.

i'd love to trade for Willis, I dont see Singletary trading the best MLB in the game though

I thought this would be a good deal even if it was an April's fool joke.
I think the 49ers would actually consider this deal seeing that Alex Smith seems lost up there.

Cutler didn't give the Broncos problems until the mess with potentially trading him came up. Not saying who started what, just pointing out that it's not like he has a history of being a problem.

Fair, but I just dont see too many coaches siding with the way Cutler has handled himself regardless of who is at fault.

ghey

Could yesterday have been a worse time for Bowlen to announce they are trading Jay??

"APRIL FOOLS OMG I TOTALLY GOT YOU ON THAT ONE ABOUT CUTLER BEING TRADED TO USC FOR ALL OF THEIR LINEBACKERS AND SANCHEZ HAHAHAHA OMFG ROFL"

Leave it to drunk Pat to pick ******* april fools day to make a major announcement.

I'd of actually done that deal, it's just too bad the #43 is a second rounder and not a third. Piss poor writer.

I'll believe it when I see it.

We'll see soon enough, however, one of the first things that came to my mind after I heard the announcement that Denver was going to trade Cutler was that they possibly have a deal already in place or are very close to one.

I agree. Doesnt make sense to announce you are willing to trade him and painting yourself into a corner

Yeah, before going to the bottom with the really weird stories, I thought this was a strange statement ... :D

"The move comes before Cutler was able to embarrass the Bronco's organization further by missing the April 17th-19th minicamp."

In hindsight ... Alex Smith? :D
