Peyton Manning on Sunday completed an exhaustive three-day road trip in which he is known to have visited with the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals, the two teams that sources believe have emerged as the favorites for the free agent quarterback.

Despite those sources' contention about the Broncos and Cardinals as favorites, Manning has not engaged either in contract negotiations or selected his next team and may not be prepared to make that decision by Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, when the new league year begins for other free agents.

At the end of the day it's going to be the Ravens, Texans, Cowboys or 49ers. He would be a fool not to go to a stacked team with his closing window of opportunity and if he wants to catch Eli.

He's just using the current teams (Miami, Arizona, Broncos) to increase his interest.

I believe, with Titan's owner Bud Adams contacting Manning's agent today, stating that he not only wanted Manning to be the QB there, but also, after Manning retires, Adams wants him in the FO, coupled with the fact that Manning's wife was born in Tennessee, gives the Titans' a lot of leverage. Until the article which started this thread, Manning said he wanted to make a decision before free agency started on Tuesday. Now, this article states something different.

Here is an article in regards to Adams wanting Manning.

From this article:

Second, Manning's wife, Ashley, is also a UT alum and happens to also be a Memphis native. While the football part of the equation is important, sources from several involved teams have said one factor that might be tough for teams in the West -- like Arizona, Denver or Seattle -- to overcome is convincing the quarterback to move his young family. That won't likely be a deal-breaker, but it could be a tiebreaker.
