Man o man...I just watched some you tube tape on this cat, and he is a bad mama jamba. I think with the emmenint suspension of marshall we need to make a play for this guy. I doubt he falls to us at 12 what do you think it would take to snag him? A 1 and a 3>? A 1 and a 2?

Thoughts?

well, it makes no sense to bring in Cleo Lemon if you aren't going to surround him with weapons.

I think if Detroit is smart..they pick him #1 overall and figure on a bad season and get their QB next year. ha!

So I don't think it is gonna happen...we need a DLineman...

Is Crabtree a two way player. Can he play LB or DT. With his speed he may be an excellent speed rusher off the edge.

Billy we cant land him if we are making the trade for gerrard or lemon. We have to then bring in jerius jackson for qb then we could make the trade

Champ for Crabtree?

How can we trade away our first rounder? We just spent it in the trade for Cleo. Cutler + our first for Lemon.

I mean its either Cleo or Crabtree take your pick.

Best ******* idea of the off-season Bill Devaroe. I say we sign Nate Jackson again and trade him before the draft for Jeremy Maclin too. For part of Crabtree's signing bonus, your momma could make him some bowlonee boats.

Sounds tempting. However, they are going for a stud defensive player on NFL Draft Day. Could be Rey Maualuga, BJ Raji, Tyson Jackson, and Brian Cushing.

It would be nice if they draft neither Maualuga nor Cushing.

I don't think he'll go third. Sixth, seventh or eighth most likely and definitely gone by twelve.

I just want thwem to shake things up. I would rather see it on O rather than D. I thinik Nolan will fix the dee and the old saying goes the best defense is a good offence. We need to be more expolosive, and I think between Moss, Crowder, Dooms, Thomas, and Peterson, we have the line cvered. We just need crabtree!!!!1

I bet Crabtree could catch an angry hornet with a pair of tweezers. That's how good his reflexes are.

I second that vote.

If we were to trade Cutler, Marshall, maybe Scheffler and somehow acquire Detroit's 1st and Calvin Johnson. We could trade the 1st down for more picks and still possibly pick up Crabtree and an impact defensive player.
With our great offensive line and Crabtree, Johnson, Royal, Stokely we wouldn't necessarily need a top tier QB.
Chriss Simms would be fine.

^^^ for wanting an elite prospect and a top 3 player in this draft?

hmmm...

no way I'd trade up for him but If teams overlooked Crabtree's production at Texas Tech and he some how fell to 12 (which is doubful) I would hope Denver takes him

I dont care what our other needs are... I wouldnt be upset at all if we picked up the best player in this draft.

I'll have what you're smoking.

Crabtree is an excellent receiver but I doubt he's putting fear into the hearts of NFL GMs just yet.

I wouldn't be opposed to the Chiefs drafting Crabtree to give Cassel all the weapons they can but they need help on the defensive side of the ball desperately, so I doubt the take.

With you guys going to the 3-4 as well and with the workouts he's had...it's the logical choice. Not sure you'll be completely happy with him when it's all said and done, but the pick makes sense.

a hopeless thread but i'll play...

broncos trade cutler, marshall, sheffler and our #12
cleveland trades rogers, quinn
detriot trades calvin johnson, #1 and #20

denver gets quinn, rogers, calvin johnson and #1
cleveland gets sheffler and #20
detriot gets cutler, marshall and #12

with our #1 we could take aaron curry if not we could trade back down on draft day and take crabtree. quinn is no cutler but with calvin johnson, crabtree and royal i think anyone would look like a pro bowler. my choice would be to stay put and take curry.

anyhow...not happening.

lol...yeah but if the cutler situation is hopeless i dont think id mind him. anderson isnt that bad of a qb either. he tossed 27 td's and 3800 yards 2 years ago.

Change that to Derek Anderson and that would be a pretty sweet trade.

absolutely not. we need a qb, not a wr. we have plenty of wr's now, and quality ones at that.

won't do any good to become the new version of the Detroit Lions...yeah, we'll draft a receiver, but we don't have a qb to throw to him...that makes a lot of sense.

(i trust Chris Simms completing a pass about as much as I'd trust Brody Croyle being given a shot at starting QB on this team).
