INDIANAPOLIS –There will be alterations made to the Broncos’ defense this year, but those changes aren’t solely a function of the change in defensive coordinators from Dennis Allen to Jack Del Rio.

“Whether Dennis [Allen] was here or not, we were still going to adjust,” Fox said at the Scouting Combine here Thursday. “You have to remember that we were a new staff. We switched from a 3-4 to a 4-3. I don’t think we got to all parts of our (play)book.”

Specifically, Fox said the Broncos plan to tweak their pass-rush packages.

Uh-huh.

Fox and Del Rio won't mess with the scheme, or change anything...

“A lot of guys want to test the market, so it’s hard to predict,” Fox said. “We’d like to have all them back, according to budget, and we’ll try to do that before March 13.”

So is he being diplomatic or will the Joe Mays experiment continue???

He's saying what coaches are supposed to say. The last thing that he, or any other coach is going to do, is say anything that will tip off the competition as to what his plans actual plans are. Who know, maybe he can convince the Raiders front office that some guy that he has no interest in is someone that he’s determined to go after. This could result in the Raiders throwing big money at some worthless bum that Fox actually has no interest in. :D Let the wisecracks begin :D

Therefore, any and all of his off season press conferences will be as informative as a detailed set of instructions on how to boil water.

Hey, I expect informative instructions in the middle of the night!

I think Fox blew your theory by stating "according to budget." :D

Is he trying to say that the 3 man rush we decided to field against one of the greatest pocket QBs of all time and the subsequent ass-beatings received were a poor idea?

You’re crazy Rev. Giving opposing QBs 30 seconds to decide what receiver to throw to should be at the core of our _efensive strategy.
