Hillis doing well.

Peyton Hillis, who started games at fullback and running back in his rookie season, said a doctor told him that he is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a hamstring injury. Hillis said he expects to be fully recovered in about a month.

Hillis had surgery Dec. 12 to repair the torn muscle, five days after suffering the season-ending injury in a game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hillis, who said he has been able to do some light jogging, said he is unsure how coaches plan to use him in the new offense. The team added three free-agent running backs this offseason.

"I have no idea. I've been through this so many times,
I'm just trying to look at it as a positive experience," he said.

Ignoring the second half of the post..

Awesome News. Hillis needs to stay a Bronco, because once McDaniels gets a gander at a healthy P.Hillis (crossing fingers) running patterns out of the backfield and putting defenders on their arses, He will realize what a weapon he has in #22.

Wait....this is good news. Are we sure the Broncos can have good news this offseason? Where's the catch?

Thanks for the update on Hillis.

I hope they give him a fair shot at RB.

Good. He was the only RB last season where I was actually impressed with his running.

the catch is that mcdaniels obviously suffers from reverse racism-- he doesn't like white guys. . . seriously, cutler, scheffler. . . hillis will probably be the next one shipped out. . . .

It sure seem to me that the running game was much more reliable with Hillis running the ball.

I love to watch Hillis play. I bet he will make the QB's job a lot easier, whoever that will be.

I think Josh will look at him as a RB after watching film.. use him alot like they used Faulk in NE..

Lots of runs and passes.. maybe not top two guys about 700-800 yards each but a solid #3 in yardage 450-500 + passing yards....

If's not Jay or someone near his caliber it may not matter.
