Very few realize that #15, Marlin Briscoe, was the first Black QB in pro-football.
That's #15 for the Denver Broncos.

Marlin Briscoe was Denver Broncos' first African-American Quarterback. So, I was wondering who was the first African-American Quarterback in NFL?

Pretty sure the answer is the same. Marlin Briscoe was the first black NFL starting QB.

And don't start with the NFL/AFL merger shit.

The first black quarterback in the NFL was Willie Thrower in 1953 with the Bears.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willie_Thrower

Briscoe was the first black starting quarterback in NFL/AFL history and the first to be a regular starting quarterback.
