Having signed 12 players from around the league since free agency began, the Broncos have now brought back one of their own. The Broncos officially re-signed Kenny Peterson, the club announced Tuesday.

2009 marks Peterson's seventh year in the league and fourth with the Broncos. He entered the NFL as a third-round selection by the Green Bay Packers in the 2003 NFL Draft. He saw action in nine games in his first two years in Green Bay, but in 2005, he played in all 16 games, recording 17 tackles and three sacks.

He joined the Broncos as a free agent on October 11, 2006, seeing action in three games that season. In 2007, he played in seven contests and recorded 10 tackles along with his first sack as a Bronco.

Thus far in his career, 2008 was his best year, statistically. He played in all 16 games for the Broncos, earning one start. He recorded 24 tackles and ranked third on the team with three sacks. He also forced a fumble and recorded a pass defensed.

Now the Ohio State product and Canton, Ohio native will remain in Denver.

The club also announced the signing of defensive tackle J'Vonne Parker. He has spent time with the Browns, Cowboys, Ravens and Panthers, seeing action in 12 games. He entered the NFL with the Browns in 2005 as a college free agent from Rutgers University.

In 2008, Parker saw his only game action in the Panthers’ regular-season finale at New Orleans on Dec. 28. He began the year on Baltimore’s practice squad and competed on Atlanta’s practice squad before he was signed to Carolina’s active roster on Dec. 23.

The defensive tackle appeared in a career-high six games during the 2006 season, seeing time in four games with the Browns after playing two games with the Cowboys. Parker finished that year with a personal-best five tackles.

The Broncos on Tuesday signed free-agent defensive tackle J'Vonne Parker, the team said.

The 6-foot-4, 325-pound Parker is in his fifth year in the NFL, after playing for Carolina, Atlanta and Baltimore last year. He also spent time with Dallas (2006) and Cleveland (2005-06), where he was an undrafted free-agent signing out of Rutgers University.

He has played in 11 regular-season games and never started.

pretty tall to be a NT

Sometimes take a few years to catch on.. perhaps good coaching can make this guy something specials..

If not no great money drain..

Yeah, rotational guy. I think they are going after someone in the draft.

Unless Raji falls to 12 I could wait till the 3rd rd or later to grab a NT. Also I think Peterson is a good re-sign. Solid rotational player.
