Chicago White Sox general manager Kenny Williams questioned the "culture of sports" after his son Kyle received death threats on social media outlets following Sunday's NFC Championship Game.

Williams' son is the San Francisco 49ers wide receiver and kick returner who made two glaring miscues late in Sunday's game that helped the New York Giants advance to the Super Bowl.

Is anyone surprised at this? I'm not. I forgot he was Kenny Williams' son though.

I'd strongly advise him to pack and leave NorCal however. He'd be treated like a king in northern New Jersey. He should think about moving there.

He can't be a 49er next year. He needs a fresh start just as Cundiff can't be a Raven next season.

Some of you that are naysaying the threats are probably the same fools that would do the same shit if the Broncos were the Niners and that was Eddie Royal or anyone else on the roster that would've made those mistakes

Anyone who would make such threats is a worthless piece of shit who has no life.

No, but I know some people are reading this thinking "idiots" in their head. I wasn't saying Carol or Gem because I know they're genuine when they voice their distaste for their stuff like that, but other people no. There are a lot of idiots that post here and I'm sure some of them would post stupid shit on Eddie Royal's FB if it was him that happened to.

Refrain from putting words in my mouth. TIA.

Give a moron a platform and they will stand on it. Maybe some DA will grow some nuts and throw some charges out there.

To make threats at a player is absolutely uncalled for! to express my opinion on a players talent or bad/good game is totally different. Most players know what they sign up for when they start a social media. America is filled with morons. Just read your local newspaper lol Or watch Jerry springer.

Kidding or not Nut, it is a somewhat valid point. If a player had a particularly bad game I see nothing wrong with someone tweeting his account saying something like, "man @player played like ass today".

Although I feel doing something along those lines shows a lack of tact and morality, neither one is criminal in nature.

However, to tweet an actual threat IS a criminal act and IMO should be treated the same as a "face to face" threat.

oh yeah, I agree totally. Sure he's fair game in that regard, but I was kidding in justifying a threat on his life. I didn't see the tweet, but to tweet that he was a shiddy butthole or whatever, sure, absolutley fine. I wouldn't do it (i don't think), but perfectly within one's rights.

I wasn't aware asking a question equated to putting words in one's mouth.

Not in regards to people being stupid, no. I mean, no one should send death threats to anyone regardless of the situation, but anyone who thinks there's no one here that would do that of it were the Broncos is in denial. I'd like to think that people are mature enough to take the high road, but reality is reality.

Were you also making him an offer he couldn't refuse?

I was indeed. But that whole episode was based on my hatred of horses rather than my anger at Tebow.

Meh, if I had a dollar for every time I made a social media death-threat, I'd buy that new chainsaw I've had my eye on.
