The Texans have matched the three-year $4.5 million offer sheet that wide receiver David Anderson signed with the Denver Broncos last week.

Anderson, who will receive a $1 million signing bonus, is the Texans fourth receiver behind Andre Johnson, Kevin Walter and Andre Davis.

As a third-year restricted free agent, Anderson had the right to sign an offer sheet with another team, which he did on Friday.

The Texans had seven days to match the offer, but elected not to wait until Friday.

damn, he was the signing i probably liked most behind dawkins (he's not 30+)

I wonder if the FO had some advance notice of this and that's why Brandon Stokley got his contract reworked and renewed recently.

I think they reworked Stokes' contract on the 27th. I don't think they ever had any intentions of letting him go.

Maybe we will work out a trade for Jordy Nelson now? :elefant:

I wonder if this will impact Sheff being on the block?

is that something you've seen mentioned somewhere, or just wishful thinking?

We can do better than a former CSU Ram WR anyway.

I wouldn't be pissed if Maclin got a look.

The only WR worthy of the #12 pick is Crabtree IMO... Maclin is a slightly faster and more versitile version of Eddie Royal... Dude's a great player, but not really a huge need of ours. But I'd still rather we spend the pick on the front 7 on defense.

No I just have a leftover man crush on him from last year.. :D

But I do think we could get him from the Pack, maybe they would be interested in Sheff? Both were 2nd rounders, and they could probably use a receiving TE more then another wide out.
